Elizabeth Fullerton (librarian)
Elizabeth Lillian Fullerton (born 27 December 1953) is an Australian lawyer, specialising in criminal law, who has been a judge of the Supreme Court of New South Wales since February 2007. Early life and education Fullerton studied to become a primary and infants teacher at Coburg Teachers College, before working as a teacher in 1975 and 1976. In 1977, Fullerton traveled to Israel to live and work in a kibbutz. Fullerton commenced studying Arts and Law at Monash University in 1978 before transferring to the University of NSW where she graduated in June 1983. On 30 May 2019, Fullerton was awarded the honorary degree Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) by Monash University. Career Fullerton was admitted as a barrister in December 1983, with Carolyn Simpson as her tutor. The New South Wales Court of Criminal Appeal, part of the Supreme Court of New South Wales, is the highest court for criminal matters and has appellate jurisdiction in the Australian State of New South Wales. Jurisdiction The Court hears appeals from people who were convicted or pleaded guilty and were sentenced by a Supreme or District court judge. The Court also hears appeals lodged by The Crown regarding the adequacy of a sentence. Robert Xie
The Lin family murders occurred in North Epping in the northwestern suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on 18 July 2009. The victims were newsagency proprietor Min Lin; his wife, Yun Lin; their sons, Henry and Terry; and Yun Lin's sister, Irene Lin. The family was bludgeoned to death. Min Lin's sister, Kathy, discovered the bodies. Jun "Brenda" Lin, 15, was the only surviving immediate family member after the incident; she was on a school trip in New Caledonia with Cheltenham Girls High School at the time. On 5 May 2011, Lian Bin "Robert" Xie – Kathy's husband – was arrested and charged with the murders. After several abandoned trials, a third trial ended in December 2015 with a hung jury. Rozelle is a suburb in the inner west of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located 4 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the Inner West Council. Ben Fordham (born 29 November 1976) is an Australian journalist, sports reporter and radio presenter. Fordham currently hosts ''Ben Fordham Live'' on Sydney radio station 2GB. Career Fordham began his career on Sydney's 2UE radio station, for which he won a Walkley Award for his coverage of the 1997 Thredbo landslide.
