Elisabetha Dorothea Schiller
Elisabetha Dorothea Schiller (née Kodweiß; 13 December 1732 – 29 April 1802) was a German innkeeper's daughter, notable as the mother of the playwright Friedrich Schiller. Life She was born in the small town of Marbach am Neckar to innkeeper Georg Friedrich Kodweiß (1698–1771) and his wife Anna Maria Munz (1698–1773). Anna was a farmer's daughter from the Röhracher Hof in Rietenau, whilst Georg was from a respectable family which had in earlier times had also managed the town's mayor's office. He acquired a certain wealth as innkeeper of the "Goldenen Löwen" in Marbach and had learned the trade of baking. Neuenstadt, usually known as Neuenstadt am Kocher (; and until as late as 1800 also known as Neuenstadt an der großen Linde) is a town in Baden-Württemberg in south-western Germany with 9,600 inhabitants. Eduard Mörike
Eduard Friedrich Mörike (8 September 18044 June 1875) was a German Lutheran pastor who was also a Romantic poet and writer of novellas and novels. Many of his poems were set to music and became established folk songs, while others were used by composers Hugo Wolf and Ignaz Lachner in their symphonic works. Biography Mörike was born in Ludwigsburg. His father was Karl Friedrich Mörike (died 1817), a district medical councilor; his mother was Charlotte Bayer. After the death of his father, in 1817, he went to live with his uncle Eberhard Friedrich Georgii in Stuttgart, who intended his nephew to become a clergyman. Therefore, after one year at the Stuttgart '' Gymnasium illustre'', Mörike joined the Evangelical Seminary Urach, a humanist grammar school, in 1818 and from 1822 to 1826 attended the Tübinger Stift. Rudolstadt
Rudolstadt is a town in the German federal state Thuringia, with the Thuringian Forest to the southwest, and to Jena and Weimar to the north. The former capital of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, the town is built along the River Saale inside a wide valley surrounded by woods. Rudolstadt was founded in 776 and has had municipal law since 1326. Charlotte Luise Antoinette von Schiller (née von Lengefeld; 22 November 1766 – 9 July 1826) was the wife of German poet Friedrich Schiller.
