Elisabeth Biebl
Elisabeth Biebl, also ''Elisabeth Biebl von Klipstein-Sporrer'' (8 May 1915 – 4 December 1989) was a German operetta singer and actress. Life and career Born in Munich, Beibl appeared as a child at the Bavarian State Opera, where she received training as a dancer. From 1930 to 1931 she was engaged as such at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, then for a year at the Bayerische Musikbühne, a travelling company. She then studied music and singing in her hometown. Her musical career began as an operetta soubrette at the Stadttheater Fürth, to which she belonged from 1934 to 1938. In 1940 she changed to the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. There she performed in 1942 under 's direction in the musical comedy "Gitta". In the 1950s and 1960s she was a highly acclaimed star at the aforementioned theatre, where she played alongside Harry Friedauer, Rosl Schwaiger, Dorothea Chryst, Ferry Gruber, Martha Kunig-Rinach and others and belonged to the permanent ensemble until 1978. The Munich Waldfriedhof is one of 29 cemeteries of Munich in Bavaria, Germany. It is one of the larger and more famous burial sites of the city, known for its park-like design and tombs of notable personalities. The Waldfriedhof is considered the first woodland cemetery. Description The Munich Waldfriedhof is located in the southwest and borders several city districts today. It is separated in two sections, the old part and the new part (Alter Teil und Neuer Teil). It holds almost 60,000 graves. The Waldfriedhof is open every day from 8am and closes between 5pm and 8pm depending on the season. During the warmer months of the year the city arranges guided tours. Hans-Heinz Bollmann (1 December 1889 – 9 July 1974) was a German operatic and operetta singer tenor. Life and career Born in Hamburg, Hans-Heinz Bollmann came from an old-established Hamburg merchant family. He actually wanted to become a dentist, but then studied singing in Hamburg and with Enrico Rosario in Milan. His artistic career began in 1912 at the municipal Theatre of Bochum. From 1913 to 1915 Bollmann was engaged at the municipal Theatre of Wilhelmshaven. Afterwards he was drafted to the military service. After the end of the war he went to the municipal Theatre of Nuremberg. From 1921 to 1925 he belonged to the ensemble of the Hamburg opera house. In the 1925-1926 season he gave guest performances at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden.
