Elisa Togut
Elisa Togut (born 14 May 1978 in Gorizia) is an Italian former volleyball player who represented Italy at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. There she ended up in ninth place with the Women's National Team. Two years later, at the World Championship in Germany, she claimed the gold medal and was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996.
