Elisa Randazzo
Elisa Randazzo is an American musician, songwriter and fashion designer who is based in California. Although her contributions as a songwriter, singer and violinist have spanned many musical projects, ''Bruises and Butterflies'' is her first solo release. It debuted on the Drag City label on May 18, 2010. Two songs on this LP are a result of her collaboration with the influential, 1970s British folk singer/guitarist, Bridget St John. Randazzo is known for layered harmonies and string arrangements. Elisa was born in New York to well-known songwriters, Victoria Pike and Teddy Randazzo. Her father wrote hit pop songs such as, "Goin' Out of My Head," "It's Gonna Take a Miracle," and "Hurt So Bad," which were recorded by a gamut of early pop legends, from Little Anthony and the Imperials, to The Zombies to Linda Ronstadt to Frank Sinatra, among others. Fierce Panda Records is a London-based independent record label, with its first release in February 1994. It also produced a small number of releases that year by now famous artists such as Ash, The Bluetones, Baby Bird and Supergrass. Fierce Panda is also credited with releases by Acres of Lions, Air Traffic, Art Brut, The Blackout, Boy Kill Boy, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Desperate Journalist, Embrace, Goldheart Assembly, Kenickie, Seafood, Keane, Placebo, The Polyphonic Spree and Shitdisco. Further (band)
Further was an American indie rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States, that evolved from an earlier band, Shadowland. They released several albums during the 1990s. History Further evolved from Shadowland, a sixties-influenced band led by brothers Brent and Darren Rademaker, that released two albums for Geffen Records in 1989 and 1990 (''Shadowland'' and ''The Beauty of Escaping'' respectively). Unlike Shadowland, Further were very much an indie rock band, gaining comparisons with the likes of Dinosaur Jr and Sonic Youth (Lee Ranaldo even guesting on their debut album).
