Elinor Field (born Eleanor Field; January 4, 1902 – February 24, 1998) was an American film actress who was one of Mack Sennett's Sennett Bathing Beauties. She also starred in the 15-episode serial ''The Jungle Goddess'' (1922). Biography Elinor Field was born on January 4, 1902, in Plymouth, Pennsylvania, USA, as Eleanor Field. She began acting straight out of high school. Although she appeared in more than thirty films Field never became a major star. She died on February 24, 1998, in Chestertown, Maryland at the age of 96. Plymouth, Pennsylvania
Plymouth is a borough (Pennsylvania), borough in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located west of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, Wilkes-Barre, along the Susquehanna River. The population was 5,763 as of the 2020 census. History Plymouth was first settled in 1769 by the Susquehanna Company of Connecticut, and until its incorporation as a borough in 1866, was part of Plymouth Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Plymouth Township. The Pennamite-Yankee Wars were fought in the surrounding area. The town is situated in the once rich anthracite coal fields of eastern Pennsylvania. Coal was first shipped in 1807. In the past, the products of its manufacturing establishments included miners’ drilling machines and squibs, silk hosiery, and lumber products. Its population peaked in 1910 at 16,996. ''The Red Warning'' is a 1923 American silent Western film directed by Robert N. Bradbury and starring Jack Hoxie, Fred Kohler, and Elinor Field. Plot As described in a film magazine review, ranchman David Ainslee loses his cattle through bandit raids, searches for a desert mine, and is found wounded and dying by Phil Haver. Phil brings the news to David's daughter Louise. Phil gives the young woman some gold, which he pretends is from the mine. The Jungle Goddess
''The Jungle Goddess'' is a 1922 American adventure film serial, directed by James Conway, in 15 chapters, starring Elinor Field, Truman Van Dyke and Marie Pavis. A co-production by William N. Selig Productions and Warner Bros., it was distributed by the Export & Import Film Company, and ran in U.S. theaters between May 15 and August 21, 1922. This serial is considered lost. Synopsis A young girl is kidnapped and put in the basket of a hot air balloon. The balloon is accidentally cut loose and drifts into the middle of the African jungle. The young girl is captured by a tribe of cannibals, who transform her into the tribe's goddess.
