Elijah S. Grammer
Elijah Sherman Grammer (April 3, 1868November 19, 1936) was an American lumberman and politician who served as a Republican Senator from Washington from November 22, 1932 to March 3, 1933. He was appointed to fill the former seat of Wesley Livsey Jones, who died in office in November 1932. Biography Grammer was born in rural Quincy, Missouri on April 3, 1868. He was educated in Missouri and at Bentonville College. He moved to Washington at age 19 in 1887, where he was a logger and then a general manager in logging camps near Tacoma, Washington. After completing additional courses at Bentonville College in 1892, he continued to work in the logging business. He moved to Alaska in 1897. He returned to Washington in 1901, settling in Seattle, which became the major city in the state. Grammer had ownership interests in several logging companies and other business ventures. Homer Truett Bone
Homer Truett Bone (January 25, 1883 – March 11, 1970) was an American attorney and politician in Washington state, where he settled in Tacoma as a youth with his family from Indiana. He ran as a candidate for a variety of parties and was elected to the State House. In 1932, he was elected as a Democrat as United States Senator from Washington, and re-elected to a second term. In 1944 Bone was appointed as a United States circuit judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He served until his death, the last years in senior status. Education and career Born on January 25, 1883, in Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana, Bone attended the public schools. He first worked for the United States postal service and in the accounting and credit department of a furniture company. Lakeview Cemetery
Lake View Cemetery is a Private property, privately owned, Nonprofit organization, nonprofit Rural cemetery, garden cemetery located in the cities of Cleveland, Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Cleveland Heights, and East Cleveland, Ohio, East Cleveland in the U.S. state of Ohio. Founded in 1869, the cemetery was favored by wealthy families during the Gilded Age, and today the cemetery is known for its numerous lavish funerary monuments and mausoleums. The extensive early monument building at Lake View helped give rise to the University Circle#Little Italy, Little Italy neighborhood, but over-expansion nearly bankrupted the burial ground in 1888.
