The Eleventh Seimas of Lithuania was a parliament (Seimas) elected in Lithuania. Elections took place on 14 October 2012, with the run-off on 28 October. The Seimas commenced its work on 17 November 2012 and served a four-year term, with the last session taking place on 10 November 2016. Seimas
The Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania ( lt, Lietuvos Respublikos Seimas), or simply the Seimas (), is the unicameral parliament of Lithuania. The Seimas constitutes the legislative branch of government in Lithuania, enacting laws and amendments to the Constitution, passing the budget, confirming the Prime Minister and the Government and controlling their activities. Its 141 members are elected for a four-year term, with 71 elected in individual constituencies, and 70 elected in a nationwide vote based on open list proportional representation. A party must receive at least 5%, and a multi-party union at least 7%, of the national vote to qualify for the proportional representation seats. Petras Auštrevičius (born 16 May 1963) is a Lithuanian liberal politician, diplomat, civil society activist, former member of Seimas, and since 2014, a member of the European Parliament. Education In 1981, Auštrevičius graduated from Vilnius Secondary School No. 39. Arvydas Anušauskas (born 29 September 1963) is a Lithuanian politician and historian. He focuses on the history of the interwar Lithuanian secret services, KGB actions in Lithuania, and Soviet repressions in Lithuania. Vytenis Povilas Andriukaitis (born 9 August 1951) is WHO Special Envoy for the European region, the former European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, a heart surgeon, a co-signatory to the 1990 Act of the Re-Establishment of the State of Lithuania. Vilija Aleknaitė-Abramikienė (born 4 May 1957 in Lyduvėnai, Raseiniai district, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian politician and member of the Seimas. Biography Aleknaitė-Abramikienė was born to a family of Soviet Lithuania civil servants in Lyduvėnai, Raseiniai district on 4 May 1957. In 1975 Aleknaitė-Abramikienė graduated from M.K. Mantas Adomėnas (born 1 October 1972) is a Lithuanian classicist and politician. He was first elected to the Seimas in 2008 and served until 2020. He earned a Ph.D. degree in classics from the University of Cambridge. His best known work is probably the article ''The Fluctuating Fortunes of Heraclitus in Plato.''
