Eleftherios Handrinos (also spelled Chandrinos, el, Ελευθέριος Χανδρινός; 18 September 1937 – 27 July 1994) was a Hellenic Navy officer who retired with the rank of vice admiral. He is notable for his involvement in the first Turkish invasion of Cyprus, during which he commanded an Landing Ship, Tank, LST vessel that caused confusion among Turkish commanders, leading to the loss of a Turkish Naval Forces, Turkish USS Harwood (DD-861), destroyer due to friendly fire.Ι. Komotini ( el, Κομοτηνή, tr, Gümülcine, bg, Комотини) is a city in the region of East Macedonia and Thrace, northeastern Greece. It is the capital of the Rhodope.
