BulletBoys is an American hard rock/glam metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1986. The group's original lineup was composed of singer Marq Torien (formerly of Ratt, King Kobra, and Kagny & the Dirty Rats), guitarist Mick Sweda, bassist Lonnie Vencent, and drummer Jimmy D'Anda. The group released two successful albums and had a number of singles featured on MTV between 1988 and 1991. From the 1990s onward, the group went through numerous lineup changes, with Torien as the only consistent member. Their most recent album ''From Out of the Skies'' was released in 2018. Hard Rock
Hard rock or heavy rock is a loosely defined subgenre of rock music typified by aggressive vocals and distorted electric guitars. Glam metal (also known as hair metal or pop metal) is a subgenre of heavy metal that features pop-influenced hooks and guitar riffs, upbeat rock anthems, and slow power ballads. It borrows heavily from the fashion and image of 1970s glam rock. Early glam metal evolved directly from the glam rock movement of the 1970s, as visual elements taken from acts such as T. Deadline Music is a record sub-label wholly owned and operated by Cleopatra Records. Deadline was founded at the turn of the century during a revival of 1980s glam/ hair metal bands in which there were new albums from Quiet Riot, White Lion, Warrant, Cinderella, Bret Michaels, and L.A. Guns. The label produced a series of compilations, including ''This Is Hair Metal'', ''More '80s Hair Metal'', and the box set ''Hollywood Rocks!''. Deadline released an album by Queensrÿche in April 2013. The band had split into two factions with founding vocalist/frontman Geoff Tate leading a new group of musicians while the remaining members carried on with a new vocalist. Marq Torien (born Mark Joseph Maytorena on September 22, 1961 in Los Angeles, California) is the lead singer of the hard rock act BulletBoys. He is the only member to have remained with the group since the release of their self-titled debut album in 1988. History Prior to BulletBoys, Torien was a guitarist in the then-unsigned band Ratt, a guitarist for the band Hawk, a member of Motown recording artists Kagny & the Dirty Rats, a lead vocalist briefly for the band King Kobra. In 1984, Torien formed the band Touch with multi-instrumentalist Marc Danzeisen, future Icon frontman Jerry Harrison, and future Chalk FarM bassist Orlando Sims. The group recorded a five song demo, which was heard by Sylvester Stallone during his search for new acts to perform songs for Rocky IV.
