''Electronic Opus'' is a remix album by trance DJ BT, released on October 12, 2015. Background On November 10, 2014, BT announced a Kickstarter project with Tommy Tallarico and TanZ Group to produce ''Electronic Opus'', an electronic symphonic album with re-imagined, orchestral versions of BT's songs. As of December 7, 2014, the project has reached its crowd-funding goal of $250,000. A live orchestra played during Video Games Live at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on March 29, 2015, while the album was released on October 12, 2015. A remix album is an album consisting of remixes or rerecorded versions of an artist's earlier released material. The first act who employed the format was American singer-songwriter Harry Nilsson (''Aerial Pandemonium Ballet'', 1971). As of 2007, the best-selling remix album of all time is Michael Jackson's ''Blood on the Dance Floor: HIStory in the Mix'' (1997). The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide. It is designed to supersede the DVD format, and capable of storing several hours of high-definition video (HDTV 720p and 1080p). This Binary Universe
''This Binary Universe'' is the fifth studio album by the composer and electronica artist Brian Transeau, BT. It was released on August 29, 2006. The album was a significant about-face for Transeau, largely abandoning the Progressive electronic dance music, progressive trance music he was known for, in favor of ambient soundscapes, live orchestration and glitch (music), glitch music. It is the first BT album not to be released on Grammophone record, vinyl, nor feature any singles (though an edit of "1.618" was featured on a compilation). The album was also composed specifically for Digital Theater System, DTS Surround sound, 5.1 surround sound. A film version of the album received a limited theatrical run, usually accompanied by appearances by Transeau himself. The album is dedicated to Transeau's daughter, Kaia. ''These Hopeful Machines'' is the sixth studio album by American electronic musician BT. Released on February 1, 2010, the album sees collaborations with the likes of JES, Rob Dickinson, Christian Burns and Kirsty Hawkshaw, also featuring a cover of " The Ghost in You" by The Psychedelic Furs. Because some tracks exceed 10 minutes in length, the album spans two discs with six tracks on each. ''Just Be'' is the second studio album by Dutch DJ Tiësto. It was released on 6 April 2004 in the Netherlands and 15 May 2004 in the United States (see 2004 in music). The album features BT, Kirsty Hawkshaw, and Aqualung on vocals, as well as a remake of Samuel Barber's "Adagio for Strings". The album's singles were "Love Comes Again", "Traffic", "Just Be" (the title track), and "Adagio for Strings". The track "Sweet Misery" was originally written for Evanescence but it did not meet the deadline for the release of their album. Style The album begins with "Forever Today" which is composed of soft classical sounds of strings before moving into a strong trance beat and bassline later in the 12-minute track.
