''Electric Shock'' is the second extended play (EP) by South Korean girl group f(x). The EP was released digitally on June 10, 2012, and released physically on June 13, 2012, under SM Entertainment. The EP's title track, " Electric Shock", as well as the EP, reached the top spot on the weekly Gaon Charts. The EP sold a total of more than 70,000 copies in South Korea. Composition The EP's single and title track, " Electric Shock", is an electropop and dance-pop song. The lyrics start each line with the word, "전기충격" ("''jeongichunggyeok''", meaning "''electric shock''" in English). It was written and arranged by Willem Laseroms, Maarten ten Hove and Joachim Vermeulen-Windsant, and produced by Future Presidents. f(x) (; ) is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2009. The group is composed of Victoria, Amber, Luna, Krystal and previously Sulli until her departure from the group in August 2015. f(x) officially debuted in September 2009 with the release of the digital single "La Cha Ta". Park Sun-young (born August 12, 1993), known professionally as Luna, is a South Korean singer, musical actress and television presenter. She debuted as a member of girl group f(x) in September 2009. The Circle Digital Chart, previously known as the Gaon Digital Chart, is the music industry standard record chart ranking the 200 most popular singles in South Korea. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. It is broadcast from CJ E&M Center Studio in Sangam-dong, Mapo District, Seoul. Broadcast ''M Countdown'' airs live on domestic television at 6PM KST every Thursday.
