"Elected" is a single by rock band Alice Cooper, released as the first Hot 100 hit on their sixth studio album ''Billion Dollar Babies'' (1972). The single reached number 26 during election week on the charts in the United States, number 4 on the charts in the United Kingdom and number 3 in Austria. The promotional music video was directed by Hart Perry. The song is a reworked version of their debut single " Reflected" from their album of 1969, ''Pretties for You''. According to Alice Cooper, Joey Ramone acknowledged the similarity between "Elected" and the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated". Elected (EP)
''Elected'' is the first EP by progressive metal project Ayreon, owned by Dutch musician Arjen Anthony Lucassen. It was released on 25 April 2008 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, and on 28 April in the rest of Europe. It features the guest performance of German singer Tobias Sammet, from Avantasia and Edguy. The EP contains an Alice Cooper cover, an acoustic guitar and voice version of "E=MC²" and the track "Ride the Comet", both from the album ''01011001''. There is also a piano version of The Human Equation's "Day Six: Childhood". Some reviewers and also the CD-Text information on the CD itself call the EP ''The Universal Ayreonaut''. The album entered at #69 at the France Singles Top 100 and stayed in that position for three weeks. The Elected are a Los Angeles-based indie rock band. The Elected have released two albums with Sub Pop: '' Me First'' in 2004, and '' Sun, Sun, Sun'' in 2006. A third album, '' Bury Me In My Rings'', was released on 17 May 2011. Members *Blake Sennett - Keyboards, Rhythm Guitar & Vocals * Mike Bloom - Lead Guitar & Lap Steel *Daniel Brummel/Michael Runion/Nate Greely - Bass *Jason Boesel/Ryland Steen/ Sander Steen - Drums Sennett and Boesel were also members of Rilo Kiley.
