Eleanor Bodel
Eleanor Bodel (real name Bodil Ellinor Olsson) ( in Nacka, Sweden) is a Swedish pop singer who began performing in public in 1968 with the orchestra of Bruno Glenmark and from 1969 as a solo artist. Of her hits, ''Sunday Will Never Be the Same'' (1968), ''One Way Ticket (song), One Way Ticket'' written by Neil Sedaka (1969) and a cover of Del Shannon's ''Keep Searchin''' (1969) remained in the Top Ten charts for several weeks and also reached number one. In 1969, she also topped the Svensktoppen charts for four weeks with the song ''Jag önskar att det alltid vore sommar'', a Swedish-language version of ''It Might as Well Rain Until September''., composed by Gerry Goffin and Carole King and lyrics in Swedish partially written by herself. Nacka
Nacka () is the municipal seat of Nacka Municipality and part of Stockholm urban area in Sweden. The municipality's name harks back to a 16th-century industrial operation established by the Crown at Nacka farmstead where conditions for water mills are good. Bruno Glenmark
Alf Göran Bruno Glenmark (born 17 March 1938 in Tomelilla, Sweden) is a Swedish musician, songwriter, band leader and singer. Music career During the 1960s, Glenmark toured Sweden with his own band and soloist Eleanor Bodel. With his wife Ann-Louise Hanson, niece Karin Glenmark and nephew Anders Glenmark, in the 1970s he formed the family group Glenmarks. Their first big success was ''Gammaldags musik'', for which Bruno Glenmark also wrote the lyrics. With Hanson, Glenmark had his own record label, GlenDisc, from 1972 to 1990. Neil Sedaka (; born March 13, 1939) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist. Since his music career began in 1957, he has sold millions of records worldwide and has written or co-written over 500 songs for himself and other artists, collaborating mostly with lyricists Howard Greenfield, Howard "Howie" Greenfield and Phil Cody. After a short-lived tenure as a founding member of the doo-wop group the Tokens, Sedaka achieved a string of hit singles over the late 1950s and early 1960s, including "Oh! Charles Weedon Westover (December 30, 1934 – February 8, 1990), better known by his stage name Del Shannon, was an American musician, singer and songwriter, best known for his 1961 number-one '' Billboard'' hit " Runaway". In 1999, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In addition, he also had minor acting roles. "It Might as Well Rain Until September" is a 1962 song originally written for Bobby Vee by Carole King and Gerry Goffin. King recorded the demo version of the song and it became a hit for her. However, Vee's management baulked at releasing the song as a single, instead using it only as an album track. Bobby Vee recorded the song the same year for his 1963 Liberty album ''The Night Has a Thousand Eyes''.
