Eldine Baptiste
Eldine Ashworth Elderfield Baptiste (born 12 March 1960) is an Antiguan former professional cricketer. He played in 10 Test matches – all of which resulted in West Indian victories – and 43 One Day Internationals (ODI) for the West Indies, between 1983 and 1990. Cricket career Born at Liberta, Antigua in 1960, Baptiste was a hard-hitting right-handed batsman and a right-arm fast-medium bowler. Although he was born in Antigua, Baptiste's first-class and List A career began in England, playing for Kent County Cricket Club in June 1981, and finished in Australia, playing for KwaZulu-Natal in the Champions Cup 2000–01 in April 2001. Liberta, Antigua
Liberta is a town located in Saint Paul Parish, on the island of Antigua in Antigua and Barbuda. It had a population of 2,560 in 2001. It the third-largest town on Antigua. It is located in the southern island area, north of Falmouth Harbour and the port of Falmouth, to which it is connected by road. All-rounder
An all-rounder is a cricketer who regularly performs well at both batting and bowling. Although all bowlers must bat and quite a handful of batsmen do bowl occasionally, most players are skilled in only one of the two disciplines and are considered specialists. Some wicket-keepers have the skills of a specialist batter and have been referred to as all-rounders, but the term ''wicket-keeper-batter'' is more commonly applied to them, even if they are substitute wicket keepers who also bowl. Terence Michael Alderman (born 12 June 1956) is a former Australia cricket team, Australian international cricketer who played primarily as a right-arm fast-medium bowler. He began his first-class cricket career in 1974 with Western Australia in the Sheffield Shield and came to international prominence when he was chosen for the Australian national team to tour England in 1981. He was a poor batsman, passing fifty just once in his career and averaging barely eight in first-class cricket. He had three seasons in English county cricket, with Kent County Cricket Club in 1984 and 1986 and with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club in 1988. The West Indies cricket team embarked on a tour of India in 1983–84 following their surprise defeat to India in 1983 World Cup. Captained by Clive Lloyd, the West Indies played six Test matches against India as well as five ODI in addition to other first class matches. The series also known as ''Revenge Series'' ended with West Indies winning three tests and winning all the five ODIs. The series displayed Indian batsmen struggling to play against the West Indies pace attack. In most of the matches India lost about 4-5 wickets even before reaching 50 runs. County Cap
In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap.
