The song represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy after being internally selected by CyBC, the Cypriot national broadcaster for the Eurovision Song Contest. Background and composition "" was composed by a mix of Greek, Kosovo-Albanian, Dutch, Swedish and Spanish songwriters, namely Alex P, Arash, Eyelar Mirzazadeh, Fatjon Miftaraj, Filloreta Raci, Geraldo Sandell, Giorgos Papadopoulos, Robert Uhlmann, Viktor Svensson and Yll Limani. "Ela" was described as an "ethnic- pop" song with "modern European" production incorporating Balkan instrumentation, which includes Greek bouzouki and Albanian fyell brezi. Andromache Dimitropoulou ( el, Ανδρομάχη Δημητροπούλου, ; born 12 October 1994), known professionally as Andromache and sometimes Andromachi, is a Greek singer who represented Cyprus in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song " Ela". Career Andromache was born to Greek parents in Siegen, Germany where she lived before moving to Greece at the age of 10. While studying German philology in Athens, she started singing in music scenes at Lechaina, Elis and Gazi, Athens. In 2015, she participated in the second season of ''The Voice of Greece'', where she was eliminated at the second live show. In 2017, she released her first single, titled "" (; "The Moon"), written by Giorgos Papadopoulos. The Voice Of Greece (season 2)
The second season of the Greek and Cypriot reality talent show ''The Voice of Greece'' premiered on February 15, 2015 on ANT1. Based on the reality singing competition '' The Voice of Holland'', the series was created by Dutch television producer John de Mol. It is part of an international series. On July 16, 2014, it was confirmed that both the presenters and the coaches of the previous season would return. The winner receives a record deal with Minos EMI and a Peugeot 108 as part of his prizes. Teams Each coach of the season had, after the blind auditions, sixteen acts in his team.
