El Show De Las Estrellas
El Show de las Estrellas is a musical program on Colombian television, produced, presented and directed by the popular entertainer Jorge Barón, broadcast on the RCN Channel internationally by RCN Nuestra Tele Internacional. It is produced by Jorge Barón Televisión since May 24, 1969, with the name El show de Jorge Barón and his guest star, 4 years later it was renamed in 1973 with its current name called El show de las estrellas. During 1983 and 1984 Jorge Barón presented the show with Virginia Vallejo, achieving a high score in the audience index and marking an era on Colombian television. In addition, the program was sold in these two years in several Latin American countries. Renowned artists at national and international level have passed through its screens. Currently, the program is outside the studios in Bogotá to make its presentations in different parts of Colombia, thus reaching most of the country's municipalities with music and joy. Virginia Vallejo García (born 26 August 1949) is a Colombian author, journalist, television director, anchorwoman, media personality, socialite, and political asylee in the United States of America. On 18 July 2006, the DEA took her out of Colombia in a special flight to save her life and cooperate with the Department of Justice in high-profile cases, after she had publicly signaled several Colombian presidents and politicians of being beneficiaries or accomplices of the leading cocaine cartels. Rafael Orozco Maestre
Rafael José Orozco Maestre (March 24, 1954 – June 11, 1992) was a Colombian singer of vallenato music. He was one of the major representatives of Colombian popular folk music and was lead singer and co-founder, alongside fellow accordionist Israel Romero, of the vallenato group Binomio de Oro de América, which was very popular in Colombia, Mexico and Venezuela. Orozco was born in Becerril, Cesar. He was assassinated by gunmen in front of his house in Barranquilla, Atlántico, during his daughter's 15th birthday party (quinceañera). It is believed the assassins were hired by a drug lord whose wife or girlfriend was obsessed with Orozco. Canal 1 ( en, Channel 1; pronounced "Canal Uno") is a Colombian state-owned television channel. It is owned by the Government of Colombia and managed by Plural Comunicaciones, S.A.S, a private company. Jorge Barón Televisión is a Colombian ''programadora'' on Canal Uno and Caracol TV, most popularly known for its shows El Show de las Estrellas, Telepaís and 20/20.
