El Show De Renny
''El Show de Renny'' (''The Renny Show'') was a Venezuelan variety show hosted by Renny Ottolina that aired from 1958 to 1971 on Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV). Ottolina also wrote and produced the show, becoming one of the first independent television producers in Venezuela. The show featured ''Las Chicas de Renny'' (''The Girls of Renny''). They included Julia Pérez (later known as Marina Baura),Maria Padron de Leon, Maria Gracia Bianchi, Ingrid Bolaw (later Ingrid Garbo), Gudelia Castillo, Liduvina Ramírez, the twins Jeanette and Zayda Garcia, and Elizabeth Flores Gil. In order to have the best and most up to date show, Ottolina hired foreign choreographers such as Sandra Le Brocc and Jim Huntley, and famous Latin American presenters Paula Bellini and Susana Duijm. Ottolina would typically host El Show de Renny for two consecutive years and then take a year off, spending that time in another country. Renny Ottolina
Renaldo José Ottolina Pinto (December 11, 1928 – March 16, 1978) was a Venezuelan producer and entertainer. Born in Valencia, Carabobo, he performed professionally under the name Renny Ottolina. Early life His mother Ana Mercedes Pinto died when he was two years old. At the age of six his father (an Italian immigrant) moved him to Caracas with his paternal grandmother. Renny went to different high schools and after he graduate it he knew what he want it and was a fast learner and he was mostly self-taught. At the age of seventeen, he started working in one of only a handful of radio stations that existed at the time in Caracas, as a broadcaster. Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was a Venezuelan free-to-air television network headquartered in the Caracas neighborhood of Quinta Crespo. It was sometimes referred to as the Canal de Bárcenas. Owned by Empresas 1BC, Radio Caracas Televisión (RCTV) was inaugurated on 15 November 1953 by William H. Phelps, Jr. Its radio counterpart was Radio Caracas Radio. Marina Baura (born November 1, 1941) is a former Venezuelan telenovela actress. Early life Born as Julia Pérez in Galicia, Spain, she moved with her parents and brother Jesús to Venezuela when she was 15 years old, in 1956. She started her professional career in the early 1960s as a model in '' El Show de Renny'', a popular variety show hosted by Renny Ottolina and aired on Radio Caracas Televisión. Carmen Susana Duijm Zubillaga (August 11, 1936 – June 18, 2016) was a Venezuelan actress, television host, model and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Venezuela 1955 and competed at Miss Universe 1955, placing in the top 15.
