El-Mansoura Sporting Club ( ar, نادي المنصورة الرياضي), is an Egyptian football club based in El Mansoura, Egypt. The club is currently playing in the Egyptian Second Division, the second-highest league in the Egyptian football league system. The club was founded in 1932 as El Nady El Malaky Sporting Club ( ar, النادي الملكي للألعاب الرياضية), and the membership was limited to the Civil servants only from the "Six Degree". The club's headquarters was the Mansoura Faculty of Medicine now, this lasted until the club moved to its current headquarters in 1949, the club name was also changed to El Baladeya Sporting Club ( ar, النادي البلدية للألعاب الرياضية) in the same year; however, in 1971 the club name was changed again to its current name. Al-Merrikh Sporting Club ( ar, نادي المريخ الرياضي) is a Sudanese football club based in Omdurman. Their home stadium is Al-Merrikh Stadium, which is locally known as The Red Castle. Founded in 1908, Al-Merrikh is one of the oldest football clubs in Africa, and have won the Sudan Premier League 16 times and Sudan Cup 14 times. The club share a fierce rivalry with Al-Hilal, the games between them regularly selling out, as well as being the only other realistic challenger to the league crown. They won the Om-al-Dahab championship in 1965 and have been the only team to have ever won this one time event. 1997 African Cup Winners' Cup
The 1997 African Cup Winners' Cup football club tournament was won by Étoile Sportive du Sahel in two-legged final victory against FAR Rabat. This was the twenty-third season that the tournament took place for the winners of each African country's domestic cup. Forty-one sides entered the competition. Teams from Niger and the Central African Republic were disqualified because their federations were in debt to CAF. Club 'S' Namakia from Madagascar withdrew before the 1st leg of the preliminary round, Maxaquene from Mozambique withdrew before the 1st leg of the first round while Racing Bafoussam from Cameroon was disqualified for not showing up in time for the 1st leg. The last team to withdraw from the competition was Dragons from Zaire before the 1st leg of the second round. A hamada ( ar, حمادة, ) is a type of desert landscape consisting of high, largely barren, hard rocky plateaus, where most of the sand has been removed by deflation. The majority of the Sahara is in fact hamada. Other examples are Negev desert in Israel and the in Algeria. Formation Hamadas are produced by the wind removing the fine products of weathering: an aeolian process known as deflation. The finer-grained products are taken away in suspension, while the sand is removed through saltation and surface creep, leaving behind a landscape of gravel, boulders and bare rock.
