The 2004 El Castillo del Terror (Spanish for "The Tower of Terror") was a major ''lucha libre'' event produced and scripted by the Mexican International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) professional wrestling promotion on October 31, 2004. The 2004 ''El Castillo del Terror'' was the fourth ever ''IWRG El Castillo del Terror'' event held. The main event was the eponymous ''Castillo del Terror'' (Spanish for "Tower of Terror") Steel cage match where the last person eliminated would be forced to take off his wrestling mask or have his hair shaved off as a result of the loss. Due to incomplete records of the main event, the only known participants was the winner Black Dragon and Mega as the loser of the ''El Castillo del Terror'' main event. International Wrestling Revolution Group
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. Founded in 1996 by Adolfo Moreno and since Moreno's death in late 2007 has been controlled by his sons Alfredo and Marco Moreno. IWRG has its own championships but like many Mexican promotions recognize champions from other promotions, occasionally allowing them to defend those titles on IWRG shows. Lucha De Apuestas
Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. Fernando Montes (born February 14, 1974) is a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Oficial Fierro. As Oficial Fierro he is part of a group called ''Los Oficiales'' that has worked for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) since 2007. The team held the record for the longest reigning Distrito Federal Trios Champions and are the most successful holders of the IWRG Intercontinental Trios Championship, holding it longer than any other trios team and having defended it more times than any previous champions have. Fierro is Spanish for Iron. He previously wrestled as Mercurio and El Millonario but achieved more success as Ultra Mega, part of ''Los Megas'' in IWRG where he held several championships. ''Los Megas'' was a Mexican professional wrestling group, called a stable who worked as a '' tecnico'' (term used for wrestlers who portray the "good guys") faction. All members of the group started out as masked wrestlers, but all four members lost their masks before the group was disbanded. Último Vampiro
Último Vampiro (Spanish for "Last Vampire") is a wrestling gimmick or character played by at least five people over the years. The character has always started out as an '' enmascarado'', or masked wrestler and only on one occasion has the person playing the Último Vampiro lost his mask. The character is a portrayed as a Vampire and included a mask with stylized bat ears and generally using a black and gray color scheme on the mask and full body suit. The character has primarily been used in International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) and on some locally promoted events. In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy" or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans, and acts as a protagonist to the heels, who are the villainous antagonist or "bad guy" characters. In professional wrestling, a heel (also known as a ''rudo'' in '' lucha libre'') is a wrestler who portrays a villain, "bad guy", or "rulebreaker", and acts as an antagonist to the faces, who are the heroic protagonist or "good guy" characters. Not everything a heel wrestler does must be villainous: heels need only to be booed or jeered by the audience to be effective characters, although most truly successful heels embrace other aspects of their devious personalities, such as cheating to win or using foreign objects.
