Eki Igbinedion
Eki Igbinedion (born 4 August 1959) is the former First Lady of Edo State and wife of Lucky Igbinedion, the Former Governor of Edo State. Eki Igbinedion founded Idia Renaissance, a non governmental civil society organization based in Edo State, with the aim of combating human trafficking, including reception of victims of human trafficking. Early life and education Princess Eki Igbinedion was born into a royal family of Prince and Princess Oyemarense in Benin City, the capital city of Edo State. She attended Boston University in the United States of America where she obtained a bachelor's degree in economics. Pet Projects Being the First Lady of Edo State, Eki Igbinedion undertook some pet projects to help the less privilege and also help solve some societal problems in the state. Benin City
Benin City is the capital and largest city of Edo State, Edo State, Nigeria. It is the fourth-largest city in Nigeria according to the 2006 census, after Lagos, Kano (city), Kano, and Ibadan, with a population estimate of about 3,500,000 as of 2022. Lucky Igbinedion
Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion (born 13 May 1957) was the governor of Edo State in Nigeria from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007. He is a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Early life and education Lucky is a son of Gabriel Igbinedion, Esama of the Kingdom of Benin. He holds a BSc in marketing (1982) from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, and an MBA (1983) from Jackson State University, Mississippi, in the United States. Career Chief Igbinedion was appointed Mayor of Oredo Municipality (a local government area in Nigeria) in 1987 and held the position until 1989. In 1989, he was voted the Best Mayor in Nigeria and received an Award for his developmental efforts.
