Eivin One Pedersen
Eivin One Pedersen (8 September 1956 – 22 February 2012) was a Norwegian jazz musician (accordion and piano) from Stavanger, Norway. Career One Pedersen played in the trio Detail, together with Frode Gjerstad (saxophone) and John Stevens (drums) from 1981, and released several albums on the free jazz company Circulasione Totale. Here he also published his own debut album ''Solo mio!'' (1981). In 1984 he released the album I 1984 utga han platen ''Keep Nose in Front'', with his former group, Aha! The band name created confusion when another famous pop trio debuting with the same name almost at the same time. Later they changed the name to Extended Noise in 1986 and released several albums. Another project was the band Calling Signals, where he collaborated with Paal Nilssen-Love (drums), Frode Gjerstad (saxophone) and Nick Stephens (bass). Kevin Norton
Kevin Norton (born January 21, 1956) is an American percussionist and composer active in the New York City jazz and contemporary music scenes. He has performed and recorded with a diverse group of musicians, including Anthony Braxton, Paul Dunmall, Milt Hinton, Fred Frith, David Krakauer, Joëlle Léandre, Frode Gjerstad, Wilber Morris, James Emery, Bern Nix, and many others. In 1999, he founded Barking Hoop Recordings, a record label dedicated to releasing new and original music. Morten Abel
Morten Abel Knutsen (born 15 October 1962), better known by his stage name Morten Abel is a Norwegian pop artist, and one of Norway's best-selling domestic artists. Career Morten Abel was born and grew up near Bodø, but moved to Stavanger when he was 15 years old. There he became the lead singer of a band called Catrix, which soon changed their name to "Mods". They released two albums in Norwegian language in 1981 and 1982, and had a big hit with a song called "Tore Tang". A third album in English language was released in 1984. After Mods split up, Abel released a solo single in 1985. Two years later he formed the band "The September When", which became very popular in Norway. Ciwan Haco
Ciwan Haco (born 1957) is a Kurdish singer. He was born in Tirbespî near Qamişlo in Syria. His grandfather was originally from Doğançay in Turkey. After finishing high school, he left for Germany in order to continue his studies. He studied musicology at the Ruhr University Bochum. He is now residing in Sweden. His music At the beginning he did not count with the support of his family due to fact at that time only the lower classes played music. But at 14 he released his first album and with 17 he performed for the first time in front of a larger public. Ciwan Haco is one of the first Kurdish singers to combine Kurdish folk music with western style pop music, rock, blues and jazz.
