It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe as an outgrowth of bo ... (EBM) band. History The band was founded by Michael Mayer in early 2006. They published its first EP, ''Funkferngesteuert'' later that year. In 2007, Arthur Stauder and Toni Schulz joined the group. That same year the band released their first CD, the eponymous ''Eisenfunk'', and began playing live shows. In July 2012, the band played at the Amphi Festival in Cologne, Germany. In May 2014 the band announced the end of the Eisenfunk project. Eisenfunk's last official concert took place on 17 May 2014, in Ingolstadt, Germany. Biohazzard Records is a German Independent record label founded by music journalist Sascha Bahn and Alexander C.H. Lorenz. Biohazzard is a sublabel of Danse Macabre Records. Its distribution companies are AL!VE and Kontor Media (digital distribution). Since late 2007 the label has distributed promotional mp3 songs with BitTorrent. Amphi Festival
The Amphi Festival is a music festival that has been taking place since 2005 featuring a wide-ranging program for a heterogeneous audience, albeit primarily fans of alternative, electronic music, and dark music. The number of visitors to the event in 2009 was 13,000 per festival day. The first Amphi Festival took place in its namesake at the Amphitheater in Gelsenkirchen, Germany but since 2006 the Tanzbrunnen in Cologne has been the site of the two-day festival. Several bands perform both on the covered open-air stage as well as on an indoor stage. The range of artists ranges from electro and future pop to medieval rock and gothic rock. There is also a disco program in the evening as well as readings and theater productions. Industrial music is a genre of music that draws on harsh, mechanical, transgressive or provocative sounds and themes. Cybergoth is a subculture that derives from elements of goth, raver, rivethead and cyberpunk fashion.
