Eintracht Braunschweig Amateure
Eintracht Braunschweig II (sometimes also called Eintracht Braunschweig U-23 and formerly known as Eintracht Braunschweig Amateure) is the amateur team, formerly the reserve team, of German football club ''Eintracht Braunschweig''. The team has made two appearances in the first round of the DFB-Pokal in 1979–80 and 1980–81. Since 2019 the team has been playing its first season in the tier six Landesliga Braunschweig. History The team was one of the founding members of the 1. Spielklasse Herzogtum Braunschweig, at the time one of several first tier leagues in the German Empire. Oberliga Nord
The Oberliga Nord was the fourth tier of the German football league system in the north of Germany. It covered the states of Lower Saxony, Bremen, Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein. With the introduction of the 3. Liga, the league ceased to exist from 2008. Henning Bürger
Henning Bürger (born 16 December 1969) is a German professional football coach and a former player. He is the caretaker manager of FC Carl Zeiss Jena. As a player, he spent three seasons in the DDR-Oberliga with FC Carl Zeiss Jena, as well as five seasons in the Bundesliga with FC Schalke 04, 1. FC Saarbrücken, 1. FC Nürnberg, FC St. Pauli, and Eintracht Frankfurt. Coaching career Bürger took over as manager of then 2. Bundesliga side FC Carl Zeiss Jena in 2008, but could not prevent the club's relegation to the 3. Liga at the end of the season. He was released by Jena after a 0–6 defeat on 14 September 2008 against VfB Stuttgart II. Christian Benbennek
Christian Benbennek (born 9 November 1972) is a German football coach who most recently coached BFC Dynamo. Career Benbennek joined VfL Wolfsburg as a youth coach in 1999, and spent ten years with the club, managing the reserve team from 2005 to 2007. In 2009, he moved to Wolfsburg's neighbours Eintracht Braunschweig, where he also served as reserve team manager for two years, before being replaced by Henning Bürger. After a year serving as a scout for Eintracht, he was surprisingly appointed as manager of 3. Liga side SV Babelsberg 03 at the beginning of the 2012–13 season, replacing Dietmar Demuth. He was sacked from the role in April 2013 with the club in danger of relegation. He took over as TSV Havelse manager in July 2013. Benbennek joined Alemannia Aachen in May 2015. The Regionalliga Nord ( en, Regional League North) is the fourth tier of the German football league system in the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Bremen and Hamburg. It is one of five leagues at this level, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Nordost, Regionalliga Südwest and the Regionalliga West. Until the introduction of the 3. The German amateur football championship was a national football competition in Germany organized by the German Football Association (German: Deutscher Fußball-Bund; DFB) and in existence from 1950 to 1998. History Overview The championship was established in 1950 as a counterpart to the German football championship, which was open only to the winners of the tier-one Oberligas. To qualify for the German amateur championship, a club had to play in the highest amateur league of its regional football federation. The majority of these leagues were tier-three leagues. Eric Veiga (born 18 February 1997) is a Luxembourgish professional footballer who plays as a left-back or midfielder. He most recently played for Liga Portugal 2 club Vilafranquense. In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap.
