Eindhoven Kemphanen (Kemphanen, "fighting roosters" in English, is a play on words using the name of the " Kempen" region) first played in the Eredivisie in 1981-82 and played intermittently in the Eredivisie in the 1980s and 1990s. HYS The Hague (Dutch: "Hijs Hockij Den Haag") is the ice hockey club in The Hague, Netherlands. Founded in 1933, the club's top team plays in the Dutch/Belgian BeNe League and competes annually in the Dutch National Championships and the Dutch Cup tournament. The 2011–12 North Sea Cup was the second and final season of the North Sea Cup, the highest level of ice hockey in the Netherlands and Belgium, before the league reverted to its traditional name, the Eredivisie, and its traditional format. The BeNe League ( nl, Beneliga) is the highest-level professional ice hockey league in Belgium and the Netherlands from 2015 to 2022. The league was founded in 2015, following a merger between the Belgian Hockey League and the Dutch Eredivisie and thus became the top tier of the sport in both nations. 2012–13 Eredivisie (ice Hockey) Season
The 2012–13 Eredivisie season was the 53rd season of the Eredivisie ice hockey league, and the first since the disbanding of the North Sea Cup and the reversion to the league's original name. Six Dutch teams and one Belgian team took part in the season. When the Leuven Chiefs withdrew from the North Sea Cup at the end of the 2011–2012 season, only one Belgian team, HYC Herentals, remained in the mixed Dutch/Belgian tournament. It was decided to dispense with the North Sea Cup, reinstate the Dutch Eredivisie regular season, and admit HYC Herentals to the Eredivisie. Thus in 2012–2013, Herentals was the sole Belgian team to compete for the Dutch national championship (although Herentals still competed for the Belgian Cup). Campine
The Campine ( French ) or De Kempen (Dutch ) is a natural region situated chiefly in north-eastern Belgium and parts of the south-eastern Netherlands which once consisted mainly of extensive moors, tracts of sandy heath, and wetlands.
