Einar Olsen (born 25 April 1936) is a Norwegian newspaper editor. He was born in Kragerø. He was a journalist in the Norwegian News Agency from 1957 to 1960 and in the Labour Movement Press Office from 1960 to 1965. He then became editor-in-chief in ''Rogalands Avis'' from 1965 to 1970, '' Vestfold Arbeiderblad'' from 1971 to 1973 and ''Arbeiderbladet ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. Kragerø
Kragerø () is a List of cities in Norway, town and Municipalities of Norway, municipality in Vestfold og Telemark Counties of Norway, county, Norway. It is part of the Districts of Norway, traditional regions of Grenland and the smaller Vestmar. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Kragerø. The city of Kragerø lies furthest south in the county of Telemark. The London-based newspaper ''The Independent'', published an article on Kragerø stating that "When Norwegians want to get away from it all they head for Kragero. Forests, fjords and islands await them at the place where Edvard Munch found peace and relaxation." The population of Kragerø quadruples during its summer months due to high tourism. Avisenes Nyhetsbyrå (ANB) (English: "Newspapers' News Agency") is a Norwegian news agency that was established in 1912 as ''Socialdemokratisk Pressekontor''. In 1919 this was changed to ''Arbeidernes Pressekontor'' ("The Workers' Press Office") and in 1984 it was changed again to ''A-pressens Oslo-redaksjon'' (APOR). In 1990 the agency was reorganized as a joint stock company, and on 1 September 2001 it got its current name. The agency is owned by 31 Norwegian newspapers and in addition A-pressen. ANB's main task is to deliver current news to Norwegian media, primarily local and regional newspapers. ''Vestfold Arbeiderblad'', often referred to as simply as ''VA'' and for a long period just ''Vestfold'', was a daily newspaper published in Tønsberg, Norway. History and profile The paper was established in 1909 under the name ''Vestfold Arbeiderblad''. The first issue was published on 2 June 1909, ahead of elections to the Norwegian Storting in the autumn of the same year. Initially the paper only came out a few days a week and contained only a few pages. Everything except printing was done by volunteers. By 1911 circulation was 640. The paper became a daily in 1916. Politically it belonged to the Norwegian Labour Party, but in 1924 it was usurped by the newly established Communist Party. Reidar Hirsti
Reidar Andreas Hirsti (14 March 1925 – 12 April 2001) was a Norwegian newspaper editor and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Tana, and his first language was Sami. During his childhood he experienced Norwegianization as well as the brutal scorched earth retreat by Nazi German occupants in 1944. He finished his secondary education as late as in 1947. He enrolled in studies, but did not complete them. Instead he was the chairman of Workers' Youth League, the youth wing of the Labour Party, from 1955 to 1958. Hirsti then became known as editor-in-chief of ''Arbeiderbladet''. He was appointed at the Labour Party national convention in 1963, and the editor position also secured him a seat in the Labour Party central committee. From 1970 to 1974 he chaired the Association of Norwegian Editors. He was removed by people in the party in 1974. Per Brunvand (11 May 1937 – 29 October 2015) was a Norwegian newspaper editor. He was born in Kristiansand as the son of Olav Brunvand. He worked as a journalist from 1957, in Arbeidernes Pressekontor, ''Fremtiden'' and ''Arbeiderbladet''.
