Einar Normann Rasmussen
Einar Normann Rasmussen (22 August 1907 – 14 August 1975) was a Norwegian ship-owner and politician for the Liberal Party. He was born in Vestre Moland as a son of a shipmaster, but moved to Kristiansand where he started his career as an office clerk in Christianssands Skibsassuranceforening from 1923 to 1936. In 1931 he took the examen artium as a privata candidate at Kristiansand Cathedral School. From 1936 he was a ship-owner.''Studentene fra 1931'' (1956), p. 305 (in Norwegian). He served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Vest-Agder during the terms 1954–1957 and 1958–1961. In total he met during 31 days of parliamentary session. Vestre Moland
Vestre Moland is a former municipality in the old Aust-Agder county in Norway. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Møglestu where the Vestre Moland Church is located. The municipality existed from 1838 until 1962 when it was merged into the municipality of Lillesand. Today, the area of Vestre Moland covers the northern part of the present-day municipality of Lillesand in Agder county. Vestre Moland included the island of Justøy and the area surrounding the ladested of Lillesand. Einar Johan Rasmussen (born 30 December 1937) is a Norwegian engineer and ship owner. Rasmussen was born in Kristiansand to ship owner Einar Normann Rasmussen and Jenny Alvilde Tjøm. He graduated as ships engineer from the Norwegian Institute of Technology in 1960. He was a board member of the family shipping company from 1958, and took over as CEO after his father's death in 1975.The company gradually shifted from shipping to offshore. Examen artium was the name of the academic certification conferred in Denmark and Norway, qualifying the student for admission to university studies. Vest-Agder (; "West Agder") was one of 18 counties (''fylker'') in Norway up until 1 January 2020, when it was merged with Aust-Agder to form Agder county.
