Abu Nur Muhammad Ehteshamul Haq (1927 – 17 February 2002), known as Captain Ehtesham, was a Bangladeshi and Pakistani film director. On his death in 2002 he was described as a Innovator, pioneer of the film industry in Dhaka, and one of Bangladesh's leading directors. Birth and early life Ehtesham was born in Dhaka on 12 October 1927. His father, Mohammad Yusuf, was a professor at Maulana Azad College, Islamia College and his mother, Mosammat Kaniz Fatema, was a house wife. Abdur Rahman (known as Rahman; 27 February 1937 – 18 July 2005) was a Pakistani-Bangladeshi actor and film Director. He acted in Bengali, Urdu, and Pashto films in Dhaka, Karachi, and Lahore from 1958 until the 1980s. Nilufar Begum (2 February 1936 – 6 January 2004; born Hena Bhattacharya), better known by her stage name Sumita Devi, was a Bangladeshi actress. In 45 years of her career, she acted in around 200 films and 150 radio and television dramas. She was an artist at the Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra in 1971. Azim (1937 – 26 March 2003) was a Bangladeshi film actor. He is best known for his role in ''Rupban'' (1965) as Rahim Badshah opposite Sujata. Early life Nurul Azim Khaled Rauf was born on 23 July 1937 to a Bengali Muslim family in Habiganj, Sylhet district. Subhash Dutta (9 February 1930 – 16 November 2012) was a Bangladeshi filmmaker, theater and film actor. He started his career as a commercial artist. Career At the beginning of his career, Dutta worked as a film poster artist. He drew posters for Mukh O Mukhosh (1956), the first Bengali-language movie to be made in East Pakistan (now Bangladesh).
