Ehenbichl is a municipality with 825 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2019) in the district of Reutte in the Austrian state of Tyrol. Geography The municipality is located in the district of Reutte and in the valley of Reutte, where Ehenbichl is separated from this place by the 939 meter high hill Sintwag and is located off the main traffic routes. The settlement extends over an area created by the Lech, which represents a gentle valley shoulder. The Lech also forms the municipal boundary. The district ''Rieden'' is located in the southwest, near ''Weißenbach'' ''am Lech''. Nicole Hosp
Nicole Hosp (; born 6 November 1983) is a former World Cup alpine ski racer from Austria. She competed in all five disciplines and was a world champion, three-time Olympic medalist, and an overall World Cup champion. Career Born in Ehenbichl, Tyrol, she won her first World Cup competition, giant slalom, in Sölden, Tyrol, Austria on 26 October 2002, sharing the victory with Andrine Flemmen and Tina Maze. Hosp won the overall World Cup title in 2007 and the season title in giant slalom. A versatile all-around racer, she won World Cup races in four of the five alpine skiing disciplines (super-G, giant slalom, slalom and combined), and was world champion in the giant slalom in 2007. Reutte
Reutte (; Swabian: ) is a market town in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is the administrative center of the Reutte district (''Districts of Austria''). Reutte is located on the Lech, and has a population of 6704 (as of 2018). Neighbouring municipalities Adjacent municipalities and villages are: Breitenwang, Ehenbichl, Lechaschau and Pflach. History Reutte is located on the Via Claudia Augusta, a Roman road leading from Italy to Germany. The Tyrolean Salt Road from Hall in Tirol to Lake Constance crossed the entire district of Außerfern. Michael Wolf (ice Hockey)
Michael Wolf (born January 24, 1981) is a German former professional ice hockey forward who played with the Iserlohn Roosters and EHC München in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Wolf began his hockey career with EV Füssen. He spent his junior career there, before earning a spot on the professional roster in 1998 as a 17-year-old. Wolf went on to play two more years in Füssen and moved up with his team to the Oberliga in 2000. In 2001 Wolf signed with SC Bietigheim-Bissingen in the 2nd Bundesliga. He established as a solid scorer over three years. In 2004 Wolf signed with the Essen Mosquitoes. With a breakthrough performance he led all German players in scoring at the end of the season, with many clubs from the Deutsche Eishockey Liga competing to sign him to their roster. Via Claudia Augusta
The Via Claudia Augusta is an ancient Roman road, which linked the valley of the Po River with Rhaetia (encompassing parts of modern Eastern Switzerland, Northern Italy, Western Austria, Southern Germany and all of Liechtenstein) across the Alps. The route still exists, and since the 1990s increased interest in long-distance hiking and cycling have made the German and Austrian stretches of the Via Claudia Augusta popular among tourists, with the result that modern signage (''illustration'') identifies the revitalised track. Weißenbach Am Lech
Weißenbach am Lech is a municipality in the Austrian district of Reutte, Tyrol. Weissenbach is a long stretched village in the 'Nature Park Tyrolean Lech'. Here the river Lech has a very wide and mainly untouched river bed, where many rare plants, insects and birds live. Through the center of Weissenbach flows the Weissenbach river, which gave the village its name (in English: 'white river'). The village is situated at the confluence of the Weissenbach and Lech rivers from the north. Almost exactly on the other side, from the south, the Rot Lech river flows into the Lech after passing deep canyons. As latest discoveries seem to prove (investigations at the University of Innsbruck are still ongoing), people are believed to have lived in Weissenbach since the early stone ages.
