Egzekutor
''Egzekutor'' is a 1999 Polish-language drama thriller film directed by Filip Zylber, written by Mariusz Gawryś, and produced by Wiesław Łysakowski. It premiered on 22 October 1999. Plot Alex, a young student, falls in love with Maja, a fellow student, and girlfriend of rich Kowalik. Alex has a brother Wiktor, who is in jail for stealing Kowalik's money. As part of internship, Alex takes care of elderly Franciszek Kozar, who one day, offers him 16,000 United States dollars if he kills him. Alex is hesitant, however, he decides to do it. He decides to begin a business, offering euthanasia to people. Tomasz Stańko
Tomasz Ludwik Stańko (11 July 1942 – 29 July 2018) was a Polish trumpeter and composer. Stańko was associated with free jazz and the avant-garde. In 1962, Tomasz Stańko formed his first band, the Jazz Darings, with saxophonist Janusz Muniak, pianist Adam Makowicz, bassist Jacek Ostaszewski, drummer Wiktor Perelmuter. Inspired by Ornette Coleman and the innovations of John Coltrane, Miles Davis and George Russell, the group is often cited by music historians as the first European group to play free jazz. In his later years, he collaborated with pianist Krzysztof Komeda on Komeda's album '' Astigmatic'', recorded in late 1965. In 1968, Stańko formed a quintet whose members were Janusz Muniak (tenor and soprano saxophones, flute), Zbigniew Seifert (alto sax and violin), Bronisław Suchanek (bass), Janusz Stefański (drums, percussion). Janusz Gajos
Janusz Gajos (; born 23 September 1939) is a Polish film, television and theatre actor as well as pedagogue and photographer. Professor of Theatre Arts and an Honorary Doctor of the National Film School in Łódź, he is considered one of the greatest Polish actors. Life and career He was born in Dąbrowa Górnicza. At the age of 11, he moved to Będzin where in 1957, he graduated from the High School No 3. In 1965 he graduated from the National Film School in Łódź as one of its best students despite having been rejected during entrance exams three times. Jerzy Nowak
Jerzy Nowak (20 June 1923 – 26 March 2013) was a Polish film and theatre actor and teacher. Biography During World War II, Nowak fought with the Polish partisans. In 1948, he graduated from the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Kraków. From 1994 on, Nowak primarily and continuously played the role of Singer Hirsch, who is a historic character in the legacy of Polish theater. In cinema, he mostly took on supporting roles as a Jew, often set during World War Two, such as in ''Schindler's List'' (directed by Steven Spielberg), or as a 'bumpkin farmer' in '' Three Colors: White'', and as the great creative Zucker in the film'' The Promised Land'' ( directed by Andrzej Wajda). Filmweb is an online database of information related to films, television series, actors and film crew personnel. Since 2011, the database also contains video games. Filmweb was launched on March 18, 1998. It is a Polish-language site, and the largest Polish film database. History Filmweb was created by Artur Gortych, and launched on March 18, 1998. On January 20, 2000, it became the first Polish website available through Wireless Application Protocol. In 2005, Filmweb PRO (aimed at entertainment professionals) was launched. On May 20, 2010, the beta version of the website was launched, and Filmweb also started to use a new algorithm, called Gustomierz (''Tastemeter''). Registered users, that have rated at least 50 movies, are able to see how much particular movie is supposed to be liked by them and to find taste similar users.
