Egidijus Bauba
Egidius Bauba (born25 March 1977) is a Lithuanian professional ice hockey coach and former player. Having scored 98 points for the Lithuanian national ice hockey team, he is the most successful scorer in its history. His older brother Dainius also played for the Lithuanian national team. Career Bauba began his career as an ice hockey player in Elektrėnai with the Eastern European Hockey League club SC Energija at age 18. In 1996 he transferred to the Czech Republic, where he first played for HC Slezan Opava, in both the Czech U20-League and Extraliga, the highest division in the country. From 1997 to 1999, he played for various lower-league clubs in the second- and third-level Czech division. In 1998, he won the 2nd Czech Republic Hockey League championship with HC Šumperk, but failed in the playoffs for the 1st Czech Republic Hockey League. Kaunas
Kaunas (; ; also see other names) is the second-largest city in Lithuania after Vilnius and an important centre of Lithuanian economic, academic, and cultural life. 1995 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships
The 1995 Men's Ice Hockey World Championships was the 59th such event sanctioned by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF). Teams representing 39 countries participated in several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for group placements in the 1996 competition. The top Championship Group tournament took place in Sweden from 23 April to 7 May 1995, with games played in Stockholm and Gävle. In the tournament final, Finland won the gold medal by defeating Sweden 4–1 at the Globen arena in Stockholm. The Finnish goals were scored by Timo Jutila and Ville Peltonen, who scored a hat trick. The gold medal was the first in Finland's history. Sweden had written a fight song, "Den glider in", which also was intended to be the official song of the championships. IIHF World U20 Championship
The IIHF World Junior Championship (WJC), or simply the "World Juniors" in ice hockey circles, is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) for national under-20 ice hockey teams from around the world. It is traditionally held in late December, ending in early January. The tournament usually attracts the top hockey players in this age category. The main tournament features the top ten ranked hockey nations in the world, comprising the 'Top Division', from which a world champion is crowned. There are also three lower pools—Divisions I, II and III—that each play separate tournaments playing for the right to be promoted to a higher pool, or face relegation to a lower pool. The 1995 IIHF European U18 Championship was the twenty-eighth playing of the IIHF European Junior Championships. Group A Played from April 10 to 16 in Berlin Germany. Led by Jochen Hecht and Marco Sturm the hosts made history, and very nearly won the tournament. For the second time in tournament history, someone other than the Swedes, Finns, Russians, or Czechs finished in the top four. And for the first time, someone else than those four won a medal. Bergen IK
Bergen Ishockeyklubb is an ice hockey club from Bergen History Bergen Flyers were elite commitment to the club until 2005. Elite team's history went back to the hockey team to the Sportkluben Djerv, which changed its name in turn to "Bergen / Djerv" (in 1986, in cooperation with BIK), "Bergen Hockey Club" (BIK) (for bankruptcy and complete a merger with BIK) and finally "Bergen Flyers" (by moving and merging with the Oslo club Spektrum Flyers. Djerv was 1 division a few years in the mid 1980s as the legendary hockey player Bear "Botta" Skaare played for the club. Bergen Flyers were back in the top division in the season 2004 / 2005. The National Ice Hockey League (NIHL) is a set of professional ice hockey leagues administered by the English Ice Hockey Association. It is currently the second tier of British ice hockey, below the Elite Ice Hockey League. Formerly called the English National Ice Hockey League (ENIHL), it was renamed in 2012 to recognise the inclusion of several teams from Scotland and Wales. The English Ice Hockey Association announced a new structure of the men's senior league for the 2019/20 season, at a meeting of NIHL clubs in Warwickshire. The Bristol Pitbulls are an ice hockey team representing Bristol, England, currently playing in the NIHL National League. Following the closure of the Bristol ice rink in 2012, their home ice moved to Oxford Ice Rink. English Premier Ice Hockey League
The English Premier Ice Hockey League (EPIHL) was an ice hockey league of 10 teams, all of which were based in England. Headquartered in Blackpool, the EPIHL was one of two professional ice hockey leagues in the United Kingdom (the other being the Elite Ice Hockey League). A total of 27 teams played in the league at one time or another. Swindon Wildcats were the only team to have consistently featured in the EPIHL from its inaugural season in 1997-98. Belarusian Extraleague
The Belarusian Extraleague (abbreviated BHL, also known as the Belarusian Open Championship), officially formed in 2006, is the top ice hockey league in Belarus. In its past, it has switched several times between being and not being an open league (in reference to allowing foreign teams), but for the 2008–2009 season, the Belarus Ice Hockey Federation decided to open the Belarusian Extraleague, the Belarusian Premier League and the Belarusian junior leagues. Before the season 2018-2019 the Belarusian Extraleague was divided in two leagues: Extraleague A with 8 teams and Extraleague B with 9 teams.
