Effi Wizen
Efraim "Effi" Wizen (born October 29, 1956, in Israel) is an Israeli computer animator and visual effects specialist. Biography Wizen graduated from ORT Israel, having studied architecture. He also earned a B.Sc. in architecture and city planning from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. He is one of the first specialists in computer animation and visual effects, founding the first 3D animation company in Israel, “Dad_Pro”, in 1984. In 1987, Wizen created one of the first film digital compositing systems, called Toccata. Wizen used the system in one of the first digitally composed movie '' Taxandria'' in 1989 and ''Neverending Story III'' in 1994. He worked on both films as Digital Effects Supervisor. Computer Animator
Computer animation is the process used for digitally generating animations. The more general term computer-generated imagery (CGI) encompasses both static scenes (still images) and dynamic images ( moving images), while computer animation refers to moving images. Modern computer animation usually uses 3D computer graphics to generate a three-dimensional picture. The target of the animation is sometimes the computer itself, while other times it is film. Computer animation is essentially a digital successor to stop motion techniques, but using 3D models, and traditional animation techniques using frame-by-frame animation of 2D illustrations. Capitol Films
Capitol Films was a British film production and distribution company (number 02392790), incorporated on 6 June 1989 and dissolved on 7 May 2013. In January 2006 it was sold to American Mobius Pictures, owned by entrepreneur and film producer David Bergstein, who placed it at the hub of his Pegasus Studios. In early 2010, David Bergstein's appointment as director for the British company was terminated and the company was placed in receivership. In October 2010 the US branch of the company was forced into bankruptcy, and in January 2012 a group of creditors filed a proposal with a federal bankruptcy court in Los Angeles to take over and liquidate five companies formerly controlled by David Bergstein, among them Capitol Films. Studio System by Gracenote, formerly known as Baseline StudioSystems, is an American e-commerce company. It was founded in 1982 and licenses its commercial entertainment database, known as Studio System. It is owned by Gracenote, a subsidiary of Nielsen Holdings. History James Monaco founded Baseline in 1982. Their primary product, an entertainment database, was launched in 1985. Monaco left Baseline in 1992, and Paul Kagan Associates purchased it the following year. Big Entertainment purchased the database in 1999 and subsequently renamed themselves to Hollywood.com.
