Edwin Westphal
Edwin Rodolfo Westphal Véliz (born 4 March 1966) is a Guatemalan former professional footballer who played as a forward. As a member of several clubs, he was a prolific goalscorer in the Guatemalan top-flight, especially during the 1990s. He was also a member of the Guatemala national team. Club career A native of Puerto Barrios, Westphal began his career playing for local club ''Bandegua'' (Bananera de Guatemala, later renamed DelMonte), making his '' Liga Mayor'' debut in 1985 at the age of 18. While playing for Bandegua, the big striker was the top scorer of the 1987 championship. Later, he played for ''Izabal JC'', where he won another goalscoring title. In the 1993-94 season, he played for Aurora F.C., and after that he joined Comunicaciones, where he was part of three championship-winning teams. After an unsuccessful stint with USAC, he returned to Comunicaciones, before ending his career playing for Antigua GFC. He retired from professional football in 2004 and ... Puerto Barrios
Puerto Barrios () is a city in Guatemala, located within the Gulf of Honduras. The city is located on Bahia de Amatique. Puerto Barrios is the departmental seat of Izabal department and is the administrative seat of Puerto Barrios municipality. It is Guatemala's main Caribbean Sea port, together with its more modern twin port town just to the southwest, Santo Tomás de Castilla. As of the 2018 census the population of Puerto Barrios was 100,593. Puerto Barrios is located northeast of Guatemala City. It is the terminus of Highway CA9 which begins at the Pacific port city of Puerto San José and traverses the country through Guatemala City. FIFA World Cup Qualification
The FIFA World Cup qualification is a competitive match that a national association football team takes in order to qualify for one of the available berths at the final tournament of the (men's) FIFA World Cup. Jamaica National Football Team
The Jamaica national football team, nicknamed the "Reggae Boyz", represents Jamaica in international football. The team's first match was against Haiti in 1925. The squad is under the supervising body of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF), which is a member of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU), Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF), and the global jurisdiction of FIFA. Jamaica's home matches have been played at Independence Park since its opening in 1962.
