Edwin Miranda
Edwin Vladimir Miranda (born January 28, 1981) is a retired Salvadoran footballer. Career College Miranda grew up in Los Angeles, California, and played four years of college soccer at Cal State-Northridge, where he was twice named Big West Conference Defender of the Year. Professional Miranda was drafted in the sixth round (54th overall) by Dallas Burn in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft. Miranda was unable work his way into the Dallas first team squad, and transferred to the Portland Timbers of the USL First Division for the 2004 season. After two seasons with the Timbers, Miranda transferred to the Puerto Rico Islanders. In early 2009 it was announced that the Islanders and Miranda had decided to mutually part ways, as they could not come to an agreement as to the players salary. On April 12, 2009, Miranda signed a one-year contract with USL First Division team Miami FC, and played 25 games before being released at the end of the season. Zacatecoluca
Zacatecoluca () is the capital municipality of the La Paz Department of El Salvador. Located in Southern El Salvador, in the Rio Lempa valley, at the foot of San Vicente (Chinchotepec) Volcano. A commercial center for the surrounding agricultural area, it also trades in cotton goods, baskets, salt, and lumber. History An earthquake in 1932 caused severe damage. The 2004 MLS SuperDraft, held in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 16, 2004, was the fifth incarnation of the annual Major League Soccer SuperDraft. The draft was most notable at the time for the selection of one of the youngest athletes in American sporting history, Freddy Adu, with the first pick by D.C. United. The draft also included Clint Dempsey (1st round) and teenager Michael Bradley (4th round). Both players went on to earn over 120 caps with the U.S. national team; additionally, after an initial stint in MLS, both players had successful careers in Europe, and returned to MLS as designated players. The 2008 Season is the 22nd edition of the United Soccer Leagues season. The season kicked off on Friday, April 12 with two First Division games, as the Charleston Battery visited Miami FC and the Montreal Impact visited the Vancouver Whitecaps. General * Changes in the First Division: the California Victory take the 2008 season off, leaving 11 teams playing a 30-game schedule. * Changes in the Second Division: the Pittsburgh Riverhounds return from hiatus, and Real Maryland FC join as an expansion team. The USSF Division 2 Professional League (D2 Pro League) was a temporary professional soccer league created by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) for the 2010 season. The twelve-team league was formed as a compromise between the feuding United Soccer Leagues (USL) and the North American Soccer League (NASL). The D2 Pro League was the second tier of the United States soccer league system below Major League Soccer. The league also included two clubs from Canada and one club from Puerto Rico. Salvador Arturo Coreas Pérez (born September 29, 1984, in San Miguel, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran footballer who currently plays for second division side Municipal Limeño. He is the older brother of El Salvador national under-20 football team member and former Vista Hermosa player Raúl Antonio Coreas. Club career Nicknamed ''Chamba'', Coreas made his professional debut at Salvadoran giants Águila and had two spells at Atlético Balboa before joining Vista Hermosa. In 2009, he moved to Municipal Limeño. He was ruled out by a ligament injury for the major part of the 2010 Clausura. The Belize national football team represents Belize in international football and is controlled by the Football Federation of Belize, a member of the Central American Football Union of CONCACAF. UNCAF Nations Cup 2009
The UNCAF Nations Cup 2009 was the tenth edition of the UNCAF Nations Cup, the biennial football (soccer) tournament for the CONCACAF-affiliated national teams of Central America. The first five places qualified for the 2009 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The event was going to take place in Panama City, Panama between January 22 and February 1, 2009, but the Panamanian FA announced that they would not host the event due to not having an adequate stadium available for the time period of the tournament. The alternative hosts were Honduras and Guatemala. Honduras submitted an official replacement bid on November 12, and after some consideration it was moved to Honduras. Fresno Football Club U-23, formerly Fresno Fuego FC, was an American soccer team based in Fresno, California, United States.
