Star Maa is an Indian Telugu language general entertainment private broadcast television network owned by the Disney Star, a subsidiary of an Indian multinational mass media corporation which is in turn owned by American mass media and entertainment conglomerate The Walt Disney Company. Star Maa
Star Maa (formerly Maa TV) is an Indian Telugu language general entertainment pay television channel owned by Disney Star, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company India. The channel telecasts Telugu language programmes such as serials, reality shows and Telugu films. The channel was launched as Maa TV in April 2002 by Murali Krishnam Raju. In March 2006, Nimmagadda Prasad along with film stars Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna became promoters by purchasing 60% stake with Raju holding 20% stake. In February 2015, Star India acquired broadcast business of Maa Television Network for an estimated price of 2,0002,500 crore. In 2017, Maa TV was rebranded as Star Maa. History Penmetsa Murali Krishnam Raju founded MAA Television Network in 2001 as a corporate entity. Its flagship TV channel, MAA TV was launched in April 2002. ''Nuvvu Nenu Prema'' () is an Indian Telugu language romantic drama television series which premiered from 16 May 2022 airing on Star Maa. It is an official remake of StarPlus's TV series ''Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?''. It stars Swaminathan Anantharaman and Pavithra B Naik in lead roles. Jayasudha Kapoor (born Sujatha Nidudavolu) is an Indian actress and politician known for her works predominantly in Telugu cinema. She has also worked in few Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films. Ali (born 10 October 1967) is an Indian actor, comedian, and TV presenter who works predominantly in Telugu films and television. He acted in more than 1000 films in Telugu. He made his debut into television as a video jockey in the music show ''Ankitham'' on Gemini Music.
