Perintalmanna
Perinthalmanna is a major town and municipality in Malappuram district, Kerala, India. It serves as the headquarters of the Perinthalmanna taluk, and a block and a Revenue Division by the same name. It was formerly the headquarters of Valluvanad Taluk, which was one of the two Taluks in Malappuram Revenue Division of the erstwhile Malabar District during the British Raj. The town is located south-west to the city of Malappuram at the centre of the Kozhikode-Malappuram-Perinthalmanna- Palakkad National Highway 966. Aligarh Muslim University (abbreviated as AMU) is a Public University, public Central University (India), central university in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India, which was originally established by Sir Syed Ahmad Khan as the Muhammadan Anglo-Oriental College in 1875. Chelamala is a hilly village in Malappuram district in Kerala. It is located about east of the city of Malappuram. Education The village is the planned site of the Malappuram campus of Aligarh Muslim University; construction is ongoing at the site. AMU Malappuram Centre started functioning at Chelamala in 2011. AMU Malappuram Centre is one of the prominent educational institution of Aligarh Muslim University in south India in the state of Kerala in Malappuram district near Perinthalmanna at Cherukara post. It was established in 2010 by the ministry of Human resource and Development, central government of India. The President of India in her capacity as the Visitor accorded sanction to establish two Centers of Aligarh Muslim University, one at Malappuram and the other at Murshidabad in 2010. Poovathani is a village in the Indian state of Kerala. It borders Malappuram and Palakkad Districts and has three Grama Panchayaths (village councils): Thachanattukara, Aliparamba, and Thazhekode. Arakkuparamba
Arakkuparamba is a village in Malappuram district in the state of Kerala, India. Arakkuparamba was once famous for mining iron ore. Iron ore mined from Arakkuparamba was converted into iron plates and rods at neighbouring Aliparamba. Ore melting technology was known to the ancient inhabitants. ''Ayirumada'' (or iron ore mining places) can still be seen there. Arakkuparamba was under the control of Chera Kings and was under the Nedunganad Principality.
