Eduardo Herrera (footballer, Born 1988)
Eduardo Herrera Aguirre (born 25 July 1988) is a Mexican former professional footballer who played as a forward. Club career UNAM Herrera made his senior team debut with Pumas UNAM on 24 July 2011 as a substitute in a match against San Luis. Herrera enjoyed a successful period between 2014 and 2016, being top scorer at the club during the first season. The 2015–16 season proved to his most prolific, scoring 15 goals in 37 appearances, and finishing the 2015 Apertura runner-up with Pumas. Herrera also spent time on loan to Santos Laguna during the 2013–14 season, scoring five times in 21 appearances. He spent the beginning of 2017 on loan to Veracruz, starting in 12 of 13 games and scoring three goals. Rangers Scottish club Rangers put in a bid reported to be £1.5m for Herrera, and he travelled to Glasgow at the beginning of June to discuss a move. The 2009-2010 season was the first under the new name Liga de Ascenso, renamed from Primera A. Also the Clausura part of the tournament was renamed Bicentenario 2010 in honor of the 200 year anniversary of the declaration for Mexican Independence. Ascenso MX
Ascenso MX was the second tier of professional football in Mexico of the Mexican football league system. The champion of the competition was promoted to Liga MX (top-flight tier). The bottom team was relegated to Liga Premier (the third tier). It was sponsored by BBVA through its Mexican subsidiary BBVA, and was officially known as Ascenso BBVA MX. Formerly known as Primera División A (First Division A) the league rebranded in 2009 its name and competition format to Liga de Ascenso. It was rebranded in 2012 as Ascenso MX. Copa MX
The Copa MX (formerly called Copa Tower Monterrey, Copa Eliminatoria, Copa México and Copa Corona MX (for sponsorship reasons)) was a Mexican football cup competition that was established in 1907. After a lengthy hiatus that began in 1997, it was restored in 2012. On early editions of the cup, it consisted of both professional and amateur stages. It was the first official tournament that included teams from different parts of Mexico and was considered a prestigious tournament, especially during its earlier years of existence. The original purpose of the competition was to determine a national champion, thus distinguishing it from the local league championship. The 2018–19 Liga MX season (known as the Liga BBVA Bancomer MX for sponsorship reasons) was the 72nd professional season of the top-flight football league in Mexico. Jordan Bernard Rossiter (born 24 March 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Bristol Rovers.
