Edmund Chong Ket Wah
Datuk Ir. Edmund Chong Ket Wah (; Pha̍k-fa-sṳ: ''Chióng Koet-fà'') (9 April 1956 – 9 October 2010), born in Sandakan, Sabah was a Malaysian politician. He was the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Batu Sapi constituency in Sabah, representing the United Sabah Party (PBS) in the governing Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition until his sudden death. He also held the post of treasurer-general and the Elopura division chief in PBS. Chong was first elected to Parliament by winning the seat of Batu Sapi, a new seat that was created following a re-delineation exercise and was first contested in 2004 election unopposed after his opponent withdrew. Before entering federal parliament, he served on the municipal council of Sandakan. In the 2008 election, he retained his seat by defeating independent candidate Chung Kwong Wing with an overwhelming 3708 majority by polling 9479 votes. 2004 Malaysian General Election
A general election was held on Sunday, 21 March 2004 for members of the 11th Parliament of Malaysia. Voting took place in all 219 parliamentary constituencies of Malaysia, each electing one Member of Parliament to the Dewan Rakyat, the dominant house of Parliament. Yong Teck Lee
Datuk Seri Panglima Yong Teck Lee (; born 3 October 1958) is a Malaysian politician who served as the 10th Chief Minister of Sabah from May 1996 to May 1998, Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah from July 1990 to December 1995, Member of Parliament (MP) for Gaya from November 1999 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Likas from April 1985 to September 2002. The People's Justice Party ( ms, Parti Keadilan Rakyat , often known simply as KEADILAN or PKR) is a reformist political party in Malaysia, formed in 2003 by a merger of the National Justice Party and the older Malaysian People's Party. Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin () is a Malaysian politician. She is the former Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Batu Sapi constituency in Sandakan, Sabah, representing the United Sabah Party (PBS) in the former ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. Background Tsen, born in Sandakan in 1956, attended her early education at Chi Hwa Primary School and Tiong Hwa Secondary School in Sandakan. The Sabah Progressive Party ( ms, Parti Maju Sabah, abbreviated SAPP) is a multiracial political party based in Sabah, Malaysia. It was registered on 21 January 1994 by dissidents led by former Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Yong Teck Lee from United Sabah Party. Formerly a component party in the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition, SAPP officially withdrew from BN in September 2008 to become independent. The Dewan Rakyat (English: 'House of Representatives'; ) is the lower house of the bicameral Parliament, the federal legislature of Malaysia. The chamber and its powers are established by Article 44 of the Constitution of Malaysia. The United Sabah Party ( ms, Parti Bersatu Sabah, abbreviated PBS) is a political party of Sabah. The PBS was founded by Joseph Pairin Kitingan in 1985 and it is Sabah's oldest local party. In August 2020, PBS confirmed that they would be using their own logo and flag until Sabah's local coalition is established under Registrar of Societies (RoS).
