Edmir Ivo David Lucas (born 15 July 1993) is an Angolan basketball player who last played for the London Lions (basketball), London Lions. Lucas, who stands at , plays as a shooting guard. Professional career Lucas started his career with the Westminster Warriors in the United Kingdom. From 2012, he played for Angolan side C.D. Primeiro de Agosto (basketball), Primeiro de Agosto in the Angolan BAI Basket. In 2016, Lucas transferred between two of the biggest Angolan teams when he signed for two seasons with Petro de Luanda (basketball), Petro de Luanda. In 2018, Lucas signed with British team London City Royals of the British Basketball League (BBL). He won the 2018–19 BBL Trophy with the Royals. 2018–19 British Basketball League Season
The 2018–19 BBL season was the 32nd campaign of the British Basketball League since the league's establishment in 1987. The season featured 12 teams from across England and Scotland. The Leicester Riders were the three-time defending regular season champions, but were unable to defend that title as the London Lions achieved their first regular season title; a 99–80 victory at the Newcastle Eagles, on 26 April 2019, was enough for the Lions to have an unassailable lead ahead of the Riders. It was the Lions' second trophy of the season, after they defeated the Glasgow Rocks in the BBL Cup final. The Lions were beaten in the playoff quarter-finals by the eighth-seeded Plymouth Raiders, who overturned a six-point deficit from the first leg into an eight-point aggregate victory. AfroBasket 2013 was the 27th FIBA Africa Championship, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. The tournament was hosted by Ivory Coast from August 20 to 31, all games were played at the Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan.
