Edis Elkasević
Edis Elkasević (born February 18, 1983) is a Bosnian-born Croatian athletics coach and retired shot putter. He won the 2002 World Junior Championships. He did not quite adapt to an international senior level, but competed at the 2004 Olympic Games and the 2005 World Championships without reaching the final. Representing the Auburn Tigers track and field team, Elkasević won the 2005 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the shot put. His personal best throw is 20.94 metres, achieved in June 2005 in Velenje. With the junior shot (6 kg) he has 21.96 metres, achieved in June 2002 in Zagreb. This was the junior world record until June 2009, when it was surpassed by David Storl. He also has 60.54 metres in the discus throw, achieved in May 2005 in La Jolla, California. Prijedor ( sr-cyrl, Приједор, ) is a city and municipality located in the Republika Srpska entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. As of 2013, it has a population of 89,397 inhabitants within its administrative limits. Prijedor is situated in the north-western part of the Bosanska Krajina geographical region. Sandra Perković
Sandra Perković (born 21 June 1990) is a Croatian discus thrower. She is a two-time Olympic (2012, 2016) and World (2013, 2017) champion and record six-time European champion ( 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022) which no other female athlete achieved. She is a six-time Diamond League overall winner. Perković culminated her successful junior career by winning gold at the 2009 European Junior Championships with a new national record. A month later, she made the final of the World Championships as the youngest discus thrower in the field. In her first year of senior competition she won gold at the 2010 European Championships, becoming the youngest ever European champion in women's discus throw.
