Edon Júnior Viegas Amaral (born 7 March 1994), known as Edinho Júnior, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays as a forward. Career Edinho started his career in Portuguese club S.C. Olhanense's youth team where he caught the eye of Scottish Premier League side Celtic, who were rumored to be interested in signing the player for £500,000. Blackburn Rovers In June 2012, Edinho went on trial at English club Blackburn Rovers and signed for the club on 25 July 2012 after impressing in the trial, for an undisclosed fee on a three-year contract. Edinho was allocated the squad number 19 and made his first team debut in a 2–1 win against Leicester City at Ewood Park, Edinho started the game and played in the first half, before he was replaced by David Goodwillie for the second half. Edon Amaral Neto (born 21 February 1967), commonly known as Edinho, is a Brazilian retired footballer who played as a striker. Playing career Born in Arapiraca, Alagoas, Edinho played for modest clubs in his homeland. In 1990, he moved to Portugal where he spent four seasons competing in both the second and third divisions, with S.C. Olhanense and Portimonense SC. From 1994 to January 1997, Edinho played in the Primeira Liga, scoring 29 goals combined for G.D. Chaves and Vitória de Guimarães. On 6 February he signed with English Football League First Division side Bradford City, netting ten times in 41 games in his first full season with the Bantams. The 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round is the second round of qualification for the 2013 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament. The 25 teams that advanced from the first qualification round, plus three teams that received byes to the elite round, were distributed into seven groups of four teams, with one of the teams hosting all six group matches in a round-robin format. The I-League (known as Hero I-League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp) is the second-tier men's professional football competition of the Indian football league system. It is currently contested by 12 clubs across the country with the winners getting promotion to play in the premier division, the Indian Super League.
