Edible Baja Arizona
''Edible Baja Arizona'' was a magazine that published stories about the intersection of food and culture in Tucson and the Arizona/Sonora borderlands region. The magazine was published on a bi-monthly basis and was founded in 2013 by ''Tucson Weekly'' co-founder Douglas Biggers, its editor and publisher. The magazine suspended publication in December 2017 after publishing 27 issues. The magazine earned more than three dozen awards for editorial and design excellence. The ''Tucson Weekly'' is an alternative newsweekly that was founded in 1984 by Douglas Biggers and Mark Goehring, and serves the Tucson, Arizona, metropolitan area of about 1,000,000 residents. The paper is a member of the Association of Alternative Newsmedia. New issues arrive at kiosks throughout Tucson every Wednesday. Jim Nintzel is the current editor. Staff members include Logan Burtch-Buus, Tirion Morris, Christopher Boan, Jeff Gardner, Kathleen Kunz and Chelo Grubb. The ''Arizona Daily Star'' is the major morning daily newspaper that serves Tucson and surrounding districts of southern Arizona in the United States. History L. C. Hughes was the Arizona Territory governor and founder of the ''Arizona Star'', in 1877. The first issue was published on March 29, 1877. The newspaper became the ''Arizona Daily Star'' in June 1879.
