Edi Nijam () is a 1956 Indian Telugu-language film directed by Vainik and film personality S. Balachander and produced by Ghantasala Krishnamurthy of Pratibha Films.Edi Nijam in Naati 101 Chitralu, S. V. Rama Rao, Kinnera Publications, Hyderabad, 2006; pp: 134-5. The films starring Nagabhushanam of Rakta Kanneeru fame. The story is loosely based on the Italian film ''Puzitor''. The film was dubbed into Tamil as ''Edhu Nijam'' (1956). The plot Kotayya (Nagabhushanam) is a labourer in a small village. He affectionately marries Raami (Janaki) and is living happily. The village Munasabu (Gummadi) is a cutthroat and cheat. He is closely assisted by Naatu Vaidyudu (Ramana Reddy) and Poojari (Vangara). Tirupati (Joga Rao), friend of Kotayya is a very angry man and used to criticize Munasabu openly. Nagabhushanam (actor)
C. Nagabushanam (19 April 1921 – 5 May 1995) was an Indian actor known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He acted in more than 350 films from the 1950s to the 1980s. He primarily acted in villain and character actor roles. Nagabushanam was a trendsetter in enacting comic villain characters. He was also known by the title “Natabhooshana” (). He acted in with more than 5000 shows of the play ''Raktha Kanneeru'' () due to which he also became known as “Raktha Kanneeru Nagabhushanam”. His first film was '' Palletooru'' (1952). Ghantasala (musician)
Ghantasala Venkateswararao (4 December 1922 – 11 February 1974), known mononymously by his surname as Ghantasala, was an Indian playback singer and film composer known for his works predominantly in Telugu and Kannada cinema and also in Tamil, Malayalam, Tulu and Hindi language films. He is considered as one of the greatest singers of Telugu cinema. In 1970, he received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award for his contribution to Indian cinema. The National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu is one of the National Film Awards presented annually by the Directorate of Film Festivals, the organisation set up by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, India. It is one of several awards presented for feature films and awarded with Rajat Kamal (Silver Lotus). The National Film Awards, established in 1954, are the most prominent film awards in India that merit the best of the Indian cinema. Madhavapeddi Satyam
Madhavapeddi Satyam (11 March 1922 – 18 December 2000) was an Indian playback singer and actor who predominantly worked in Telugu cinema. He entered films as a singer-actor in Y. V. Rao's Tamil-Hindi bilingual movie ''Ramadas'' in the year 1946, playing the role of Kabir. However, he became more popular as a playback singer due to his booming voice. His voice suited artists like S. V. Ranga Rao, Relangi and Ramana Reddy. He also sang for others like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, N.T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya and Padmanabham.
