Edgars Siksna
Edgars Siksna (born January 15, 1993) is a Latvian professional ice hockey defenceman. He is currently playing for HK Rīga in the MHL. Playing career Siksna started his professional career playing for Liepājas Metalurgs. In August 2013 Dinamo Rīga announced they had signed a contract with Siksna. He played his first KHL game on September 22, 2013 against Vityaz. Defence or defense (in American English) in ice hockey is a player position that is primarily responsible for preventing the opposing team from Goal (ice hockey), scoring. Hockey Club Vityaz (, en, HC Knight) is a professional ice hockey team based in Podolsk, Moscow Oblast, Russia. They are members of the Bobrov Division of the Kontinental Hockey League. Latvia Men's National Junior Ice Hockey Team
The Latvian men's national under 20 ice hockey team is the national under-20 ice hockey team in Latvia. The team represents Latvia at the International Ice Hockey Federation's IIHF World U20 Championship. They have played at the top division of the tournament seven times; its recent appearance was the 2022 tournament, where Latvia was called up to replace Russia in the rescheduled tournament due to the country being banned from international ice hockey (Latvia had originally been promoted for 2023). The 2012 IIHF U20 World Championship (commonly known as the 2012 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships) was the 36th edition of the Ice Hockey World Junior Championship. It was hosted in Calgary and Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It began on December 26, 2011, and ended with the gold medal game played in Calgary on January 5, 2012. Sweden defeated defending-champion Russia 1–0 in overtime to win their first title in 31 years. Russian forward Evgeny Kuznetsov was named MVP of the tournament. Dinamo Riga ( lv, Rīgas Dinamo) is a professional ice hockey team based in Riga, Latvia. It is a member of the Latvian Hockey Higher League. The club is affiliated with HK Zemgale/LLU. The club was re-founded on 7 April 2008 as a successor of a former hockey team (also named "Dinamo Riga"), which was founded in 1946, but ceased to exist in 1995.
