Edgar Wells Page (31 December 1884 – 12 May 1956) was an English former field hockey player, who won a gold medal with the Great Britain team at the 1908 Summer Olympics in London. He also played cricket for Staffordshire in the Minor Counties Championship from 1905 to 1927, as well as playing a single first-class match for the Minor Counties The National Counties, known as the Minor Counties before 2020, are the cricketing counties of England and Wales that do not have first-class status. Field hockey was introduced at the Olympic Games as a men's competition at the 1908 Summer Olympics, 1908 Games in London, with six teams, four from the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and other two were France and Germany. History Field hockey was removed from the Summer Olympic Games at the 1924 Summer Olympics, 1924 Paris Games because of the lack of an international sporting structure. The International Hockey Federation (FIH, ''Fédération Internationale de Hockey'') was founded in Paris that year as a response to field hockey's omission.
