Eddy Santana Putra
Eddy Santana Putra (born 20 January 1957) is an Indonesian politician who served as the mayor of Palembang between 2003 and 2013. He was a member of PDI-P until 2018, when he moved to Gerindra. Originating from Pangkal Pinang, he was elected through both a city council vote and direct popular vote. Background Eddy Santana Putra was born in Pangkal Pinang, South Sumatra (today Bangka Belitung Islands) on 20 January 1957. After completing high school at Xaverius 1 High School, he went to Sriwijaya University, from which he earned a bachelors of civil engineering and a masters of engineering. Career Before entering politics, Eddy was a civil servant at South Sumatra provincial government's public works department. Mayor Eddy first became the mayor of Palembang following a vote by the city council in 2003. East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency is a regency of South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. It covers an area of 3,370 km2 and had a population of 609,982 at the 2010 Census and 649,853 at the 2020 Census. The Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia ( id, Mahkamah Agung Republik Indonesia) is the independent judicial arm of the state. This is a list of Indonesia's national electoral districts in accordance with Law No. 7 of 2017 and Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No.1/2022, and regions included within them. Members of the People's Representative Council ( id, Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat) are elected from multi-member electoral districts ( id, Daerah Pemilihan''/Dapil''). In total, there are 84 districts across Indonesia's 38 provinces. Individual districts are named after their provinces and, if the province has multiple districts, assigned a roman numeral indicating its number in the province. The upcoming 2024 general election will use the 84 electoral districts where 580 members of the People's Representative Council would be elected.
