Eddy Donaghy
Edward Donaghy, known as Eddy Donaghy or Ted Donaghy (born 8 January 1900) was an English football player and coach. Playing career Born in Grangetown, Donaghy played for local club Grangetown St Mary's before playing with Football League teams Middlesbrough, Bradford City, Derby County and Gillingham. Donaghy, a left half A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Grangetown, North Yorkshire
Grangetown is an area in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland, North Yorkshire, England. The area is east of Middlesbrough and from south-west of Redcar. A ward covering the area had a population of 5,088 at the 2011 census. It is part of Greater Eston, which includes the area and the other centres of Eston, Normanby, South Bank, Teesville and part of Ormesby. History The development of Grangetown was the discovery of ironstone in the Eston Hills in 1840, and the further development of the iron and steel industry along the riverbanks by Messrs. Bolckow and Vaughan from 1881. The name of the village was taken from a farm nearby called ''Eston Grange'', formerly a working farm for the monks of Guisborough Priory.
