Eddie Pagan
Eddie Pagan (August 1, 1918August 1, 1984) was an American stock car racing driver. Pagan was born in Midland, Texas on August 1, 1918. According to an entry in the 1940 U.S. Census, Pagan was living in New Mexico with his wife Marian by the year 1940. Pagan also lived a significant portion of his adult life in Lynwood, California. He competed in 54 NASCAR Grand National West Series races from 1954 to 1957. Pagan had 9 West Series wins, 41 top tens, and 11 pole positions. Pagan competed in 62 NASCAR Grand National Series races between 1954 and 1963. During his time at NASCAR's highest level, he won 4 races, achieved 38 top tens, and 6 pole positions. During the 1958 Darlington Southern 500, he had a massive crash. The crash has since became knows as the Eddie Pagan Flip. Midland is a city in and the county seat of Midland County, Texas, United States. A small part of Midland is in Martin County. At the 2020 census, Midland's population was 132,524. Darrell Waltrip
Darrell Lee Waltrip (born February 5, 1947) is an American motorsports analyst, author, former national television broadcaster, and stock car driver. He raced from 1972 to 2000 in the NASCAR Cup Series (known as the NASCAR Winston Cup Series during his time as a driver), most notably driving the No. 17 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. Waltrip is a three-time Cup Series champion (1981, 1982, 1985). Posting a modern NASCAR series record of 22 top five finishes in 1983 and 21 top five finishes both in 1981 and 1986, Waltrip won 84 NASCAR Cup Series races, including the 1989 Daytona 500, a record five in the Coca-Cola 600 (formerly the World 600) (1978, 1979, 1985, 1988, 1989), and a track and Series record for any driver at Bristol Motor Speedway with 12 (seven consecutive from 1981 to 1984). Dick Hutcherson
Richard "Dick" Hutcherson (November 30, 1931 – November 6, 2005) was an American businessman and a former stock car racer. A native of Keokuk, Iowa, Hutcherson drove in NASCAR competition from 1964 to 1967. He won 14 races, finishing runner-up in his first full season in 1965 and third in 1967, but after four years of top-level racing he retired at the season's end to devote his energies to ''Hutcherson-Pagan Enterprises'', a chassis-building business in Charlotte, North Carolina. NASCAR K&N Pro Series West
The ARCA Menards Series West, formerly the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, NASCAR AutoZone West Series, NASCAR Winston West Series and NASCAR Camping World West Series, is a regional stock car racing series owned and operated by the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) and the NASCAR, National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR).
