Eddie Lee Cornelius Jr. is a gospel singer, songwriter, speaker and author. He was a songwriter and lead singer for Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose, The Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose, a 1970s soul R&B act. He wrote their biggest hits "Too Late to Turn Back Now (song), Too Late To Turn Back Now" and "Treat Her Like a Lady (Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose song), Treat Her Like A Lady". Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose
Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose was an American family soul singing group, from Dania Beach, Florida, United States. It was formed in 1970 and gained popularity in the early 1970s. It was composed of siblings Carter, Eddie, and Rose Cornelius, who were joined by their sister Billie Jo Cornelius in 1972. Cleveland E. Barrett (a childhood friend), an original member of the group, was killed in a car accident before their chart success. Group career The group originally formed in the mid 60s with Eddie and Carter Cornelius as the Cornelius Brothers. After seeing a talent search ad in the paper, the duo auditioned for producer Bob Archibald who then signed them to his label. Rose Cornelius had already appeared on ''The Ed Sullivan Show'' in June 1967 and had been performing in Las Vegas and worldwide, touring in 1970 with a group called the Gospel Jazz Singers. Carter Cornelius
Carter Cornelius (October 5, 1948 – November 7, 1991) was an American R&B musician. He was later known as Prince Gideon Israel. Career Band A native of Dania Beach, Florida, Cornelius was part of the musical group Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose. A family-oriented musical group, the band was formed in 1971, in Dania, Florida, with Carter, his brother Eddie, and his sisters Billie Jo, and Rose. Recordings Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose released their self-titled album on the United Artists LP soon after forming. The album went to #29 on the LP Pop Chart and was a minor hit. The group also scored successes with the recordings "Treat Her Like A Lady", "Too Late To Turn Back Now", and "Don't Ever Be Lonely (A Poor Little Fool Like Me)." The Fleshtones are an American garage rock band from Queens, New York, United States, formed in 1976. Alvin Youngblood Hart (born Gregory Edward Hart; March 2, 1963) is an American musician. Career Hart was born in Oakland, California, and spent some time in Carroll County, Mississippi, in his youth, where he was influenced by the Mississippi country blues performed by his relatives. Hart is known as one of the world's foremost practitioners of country blues. He is also known as a faithful torchbearer for 1960s and 1970s guitar rock, as well as western swing and traditional country. His style has been compared to Lead Belly and Spade Cooley. Donat Roy Mittoo (3 March 1948 – 16 December 1990), better known as Jackie Mittoo, was a Jamaican-Canadian keyboardist, songwriter and musical director. He was a member of The Skatalites and musical director of the Studio One record label.
