Ed Yarnall
Harvey Edward Yarnall (born December 4, 1975) is a former professional baseball pitcher. He pitched parts of two seasons in Major League Baseball with the New York Yankees, and two seasons in Japan with the Orix BlueWave. Career Yarnall played college baseball for the LSU Tigers, and was part of their 1996 College World Series championship team. In 1995, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League and was named a league all-star. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the third round of the 1996 Major League Baseball Draft. In 1998, he was traded with Preston Wilson and minor leaguer Geoff Goetz to the Florida Marlins for Mike Piazza. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Harwich Mariners
The Harwich Mariners are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Harwich, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's East Division. The Mariners play their home games at Whitehouse Field in the historic village of Harwich Center. Harwich has won two CCBL championships in the 21st century, most recently in 2011 by defeating the Falmouth Commodores two games to none to win the best of three championship series. Brian Eric Reith (born February 28, 1978) is a former professional baseball pitcher. Career He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 6th round of the 1996 Major League Baseball Draft. He was traded with Drew Henson, Jackson Melián, and Ed Yarnall for Denny Neagle and Mike Frank. Reith made his Major League debut playing for the Cincinnati Reds in 2001. Drew Daniel Henson (born February 13, 1980) is a former Major League Baseball third baseman and National Football League quarterback. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan.
